///M Side Fender Badge Placement
Would someone mind taking a bunch of measurements of the placement of your ///M side Fender emblems.
I have a fully loaded Mineral White Metallic I5M60 here in the US and purchased the blacked-out fender emblem, in addition to the rear blacked out emblems. I don’t know why they eliminate the ///M side fender emblem in the US. |

Let me know where you got your blacked out emblems from please. Thinking about doing this myself and also re-adding the side emblems.

iND they are the most reliable and have the best quality control process, the last thing you want is something that fades or is not colored through and through.

I didn’t get any side badges. I’m going to take off the back badges.

I have a 2023 M550i and like you, I wanted the side fender badges as I think it is a classy touch. Mine were located above the fender vents, but no one had the measurements to cough up.
What I was able to do: You have a great photo showing the visual placement of the badge on the G60. I used a metric ruler on a printed photo to convert the actual measurements on the car. As an example, you can measure the depth of the rocker panel in the photo then measure the same area on the car to determine the conversion factor. Do those conversions from the fender edge/ visual creases in the pic etc. to determine placement. After I got done with the conversions, I temporarily set the emblem on the fender and used painters tape to outline the badge location and level to be sure it is in the correct position…..it was spot on! Also, I found the X5 fender M badging size in Cerium was the correct emblem for the fender for my MY G30. Hope this info helps anf gives you ideas to get the placement. |

I wrote to three people.
Unfortunately I won't be able to measure myself until next week. |

Some time ago, friends did the opposite: they put the 518d emblem on their powerful cars. They thought it was funny.

Unfortunately the picture from my dealer isn't particularly good. The measurements are: Up to edge: 3.0 cm = 1.18" Top side: 11.0 cm = 4.33" Bottom side: 9.5 cm = 3.74" Good succeed! |

I feel bad asking but it would be most important to get the 2 measurements. 1st: From the bottom skirt to the bottom of the badge on the right side 2nd: From the bottom skirt to the bottom of the badge on the left side. It's the only way to determine if the badge is on an angle or parallel. |

do you happen to have the part numbers for the M badges for the G60 fenders?
a few months ago, I was buying the the M badges for my X1.(again, BMW only deleted them on US-spec X1 with M Sport pack) There were actually two parts numbers for the same badge... listed as links and rechts. I couldn't tell the difference as left and right looked identical to me. thanks! |

True.
There are several different sizes of these badges. The correct one should probably be this: |

Is it not possible to simply purchase and have this installed by dealers? Just curious if that is even an option.

Could be a possibility - for a price. Or BMWNA might not "allow" dealers to apply them since BMWNA made the decision to have them deleted for all US vehicles.

In Germany where debadging is a factory option and often done? I guess it becomes the ultimate sleeper car with the 518d. That’s kinda funny. I used to debadge my BMW’s because I liked the nice, clean look with just the roundel on the trunk. Rather uncommon here in the US. Then I got the M3 and decided since I paid the M tax the badges would stay on.

We have the option of not having the stickers attached at the factory.
I've generally used it so far. Unfortunately, with the G60 it is only possible to remove the badges at the back. The emblem on the side wall is mandatory for the M package. I will exchange it for the black one. |
