Fucken eh, have a drink for me Jim.
We were lucky enough to travel to your beautiful country about ten years ago with our sons marching band. Absolutely loved it and we will come back one day. The youngens played in the Canada Day parade in a tiny little place called Brudderheim and they were treated like royalty. I will never forget how well they were received everywhere they went. The Stampede was a highlight. |

I will never forget the time I attended my relative's Citizenship Ceremony. I guess many of us take it for granted, esp those coming from other 'first world' countries. When I saw some ppl, after they were officially pronounced as Canadians, suddenly burst out into tears, it made me really cherish and realize how lucky we are, to be in this peaceful and safe environment, with multiculturalism as a main national characteristic, not something that is suppressed. The way I see it, we all took different paths to get here, but we are all Canadians...and we may bicker about politics and other silly philosophies but I truly believe that every nation is made up of its ppl, not its leaders or politicians - we are more alike than many think. Anyway, I'm so grateful to be Canadian; a lot of ppl say this about their own countries, but I truly call this place home and could not think of anywhere better.
