You can copy the shortcuts to a thumbdrive or a CD, or you can send the favorites links to your email lol.. that would be the hard way.

alright. I'll try and help. Hopefully your running Windows XP!!
1) click on "My Computer", 2) click on "C Drive" 3) You should have a folder called "Documents and Settings" click on that 4) There should be a folder with the name of the computer ex. "BOB.Home.1234" Click on that. 5) By default you should have a Star shaped Icon with a foler beside it called "Favourites" Click on that. make sure that it is the correct foler with all your bookmarks/favourites in it. 6) press "Back" and right click and copy that entire folder called "Favourites" now please tell me you have a USB drive or a flash drive/memory stick. you need to paste that entire folder in there. After reformatting, go to the same place i told you until you can find the Favourites folder on your reformatted computer. Then Inster your USB drive and copy and paste your "Favourites" folder. I might ask you to overwrite that folder and click yes since this will make your old Favourites folder the new Favourites folder. LOL please tell this helped. if not let me know. PS: sorry for making it complicated. |

Why make it difficult. You can export your Favorites from the file menu. |

+1. Just export favorites to a memory stick & import after the reformat.

Use firefox, get foxmarks. foxmarks will sync your bookmarks to the foxmarks server, allowing you to download your favorites after you reinstall. It can also be used to sync your bookmarks across multiple computers.
