Any E-Bike Owners
If so, what do you have? Would you recommend it? Share pics. Looking for class 3 just to ride on long paved bike trails. Thanks.

I have a pair of "Pedego" (reallllyyy terrible name) with 20" fat tires. Really, just so much fun to eat up miles. I take it on a long gravel trail near me or to a local bar.
My suggestions are: Make sure it's comfortable for you and get the biggest battery packs you can. That's all that really matters. Who cares if it's a "good" bike. You want lots of juice. |

I have a Momentum Transend E+ ebike. Its only 52lbs (most others are 65-75) and it's pedal assist only. Meaning no separate throttle. The harder you pedal, he more juice it gives you. I slapped some off road tires on mine and love it! It looks and acts like a normal bike.

Not really what you'd call a traditional e-bike but I've had a Sur Ron Black Edition X bike for the last year and absolutely love it. It's takes off like a bottle rocket making it hard to keep the front wheel down and tops out at about 45 mph. The problem with it is that it's not legal to ride it on the road or on mountain bike trails. Due to it's insane amount of power it's way beyond Class 3 but a ton of fun in the woods or some paved paths around here.

I converted a nice mountain bike with a Bafang 750W kit. Kit cost $500 and i built my own battery for $100, but you can buy a nice battery for $200.

I bought one on a whim for something like $499 last fall during an Amazon Labor Day weekend sale. Took a fall in my living room during assembly while measuring the seat height, and a few weeks to recover from my injuries. It's still sitting in the living room, just needing air in the tires to be rideable.....

Appreciate everyone's feedback. Thanks. I'm looking at Aventon or Cannondale so far. Not too expensive.
