The funny part is if you or I punched someone who was harassing us on a plane we would be viewed as violent unpredictable criminals, should be locked up, etc.

I think you overestimate the control/mind of a world champion boxer. These people aren't like you and me. And neither are the super rich. Bad combination, those two things. So yes, it was a decision of sorts, but he's just a different type of guy.

I read a different article earlier which said that Tyson posed for a selfie with the guy. I guess that wasn't enough for his drunk ass, as he kept chirping in Tyson's ear. It also showed a picture of the guy with a cut on his face afterwards. By no means did it look like he was pummeled by Tyson. I'm not condoning the behavior but play stupid games, win stupid prizes. Dumb ass.

Go Mike! There really isn't enough people being punched in the face these days. when I grew up you generally had a bit of fear to disrespect and harass someone you don't (or do) know. there's a good chance if the guy didn't like what you said you'd get a fat lip or a black eye... put you back in your place.

The world would be such a more respectful and honorable place if you were allowed to punch someone in the face when a line has been crossed. it's the CHECK and the BALANCE we are missing. it's not violence or assault, it's a physical reminder of who you are and what you are about to get involved in BEFORE it turns to violence... this little "gesture" often avoided the need for any violence.... if it didn't deter it, well then it would be settled right then and there and you have answers within a few breaths.

If I was on that plane, having seen that chode act like that for god knows how long (since the video cuts out) I would have been one of those "I didnt see anything" types.

People should not be allowed to harass someone to the point where they get their asses whipped then sue. It shocks me that any man would just sit there and take a barrage of insults etc. At some point if the ones in control are not going to deal with the situation then I would.
