Indeed my friend . Saw it yesterday , hopefully It's more than 40 HP to stop the Mercs dominance ..
It has to do with the combustion chambers also used by the Merc's...
This was one of the Merc advantages during the '20 season .

Apparently Verstappen has put aside quite a lot of time to practice on his local skid pan to try and reduce the amount of time he spends losing control and spinning in poor weather conditions.
Verstappen also hopes to practice applying the brakes early enough to avoid driving into tyre barriers.

It's one of those decisions no one understands and for Honda to say that it is concentrating on a electric/hydrogen program for all its vehicles scared by snowflake government announcements is frankly strange.

Being on target will increase power over Merc by 12hp so to get more will be a plus for Honda.I can't see Merc getting much more with theirs, combustion chambers already modified for that advantage only their battery storage system mgu-k to hold out on the straights more but unlikely as they had to 'turn down' for reliability. No Merc das will be welcome by all the teams.

Yes .The Merc's "MGU-K" . It's there where they get the "unknown power advantage" from .
The "thing" was almost in his end of life-time . Checo's Pink-Merc showed it was about time...
The whole season the Merc's just pulled away by the torque advantage of the MGU-K .
Things changed quickly in Abu Dhabi , Red Bull finally closed the gap and MAX destroyed the Merc's relaxed like I make my soup in my kitchen . But Merc was already 5 months working on the '21 Merc .
I wouldn't be surprised if Merc comes in '21 with other "so said innovations" approved by the FIA circus clowns .
Merc tested a lot in the wind tunnel , the aero results are the best ever...

Let us hope for a fair game with equal machinery in 2021...

Regrettably, there are those asking for "equal machinery in 2021"....this is the literal interpretation of identically prepared race cars, or a spec-racer series.

F1 is not a spec-racer series.

I too can see Merc doing a 'Newey' and concentrating more on aero a lot, but as you say the big danger is Tody in what he will allow Merc.
Wolff has said they are half way through their build for a W12 and behind the doors are concocting what they can get away with at Brackley NN13, hopefully unlucky for them.

Negative, Alex was given every chance to open the car up but sadly the reactions and dynamic input were not quite there, this is why RP's ousted Perez is being given a golden opportunity.
