WEC announces Hypercar Regs
The WEC has officially announced the new hypercar regs for 2020/21. Toyota and Aston Martin have already confirmed entries and have provided some renderings. Aston will be running the Valkyrie as their hypercar which uses a V12. Not sure if they'll keep that or not. Toyota will be running a car based on the GR Super Sport and running a hybrid system. With BMW pulling the M8 GTE from WEC, I wonder.....but in reality, with the new cars being introduced so quickly, unless BMW has been developing a car in secret, there's likely not enough time to completely build or develop a car for this series. Unfortunate. I'd love to see a new McLaren F1-type car built by BMW.

Been waiting for this...
Waiting for Porsche and McLaren to jump in. Although Macca might not come in until 2021. Alonso hinting at driving in 2021... for who exactly...? After the embarrassment of Indy it's hard to say McLaren. |
