Bachelor party fuck up......kinda long

So my bachelor party was this weekend and it completely went to shit. This will prolly be a little long and I'm including a poll. So at least read the bottom part before voting please BTW, you can vote for multiple reactions.

So.... Back in February I tell my Best Man, My brother Heath and my Co-Best Man my Best Friend Curt to start getting plans together and give them a list of guys to invite as well as a date (6/28) that I picked to make sure the out of towners where OK with.

A couple weeks go by and I ask Heath how things are going and he tells me Curt or any other the other groomsman have not contacted him yet. So I send out a email to get their asses in gear. Another couple weeks go by so I send another email getting a little nastier but time was closing in. Which that email finally gets the wheels turning.

After a couple days I find that Curt, my co-best man decided he couldn't help with much of the plans since he lives in Miami, FL. So he passed his duties off to another groomsman Denny my college roommate and who live is N. Dakota. So I'm obviously aggravated that Curt bitched out of his duties.

Well they set plans and decide that they want to play a round of golf in the morning, take a break and then get a suite for the Reds v. Indians game, then go out and hit some bars and the strip club. All fine other then the suite was $140 a person. Well as it gets closer to needing to pay for the suite people begin to back out so I had to scramble and call my old boss at the Indians to get us out of the suite which luckily he did for us, so now we have normal tickets and everyone is happy again.

*POLL READING STARTS HERE *

Now were about a week out and Curt calls me from Miami and tells me he's decided he wants to skip or only play 9 holes of golf to spend Friday night with his family since he's home and not have to get up early to make it to golf. Now I'm torn if I should be mad or accepting. Although he wouldn't have come home if not for this party.

Well the day comes and golf is great. Curt only shows up for the back 9 but whatever. We take the break in the day and hit the Indians game. Game is pretty cool and no problems so far. We leave the game and decide to go to Shooters, this big bar complex that is right next to the strip joint. Well we get there and it's fucking packed. As soon as we walk in everyone scatters. After a while it takes me like an hour to round most people up to go to the strip club to close the night out. Well we lost a few friends and Denny a groomsman who decided he's rather hang out with another friend then continue with the bachelor party, I'm kinda mad but I'm about to see titties and don't think too much of it.

We get in the club and they decide to pay for VIP. We get up there and after 45mins some guys just get up and leave w/o saying anything and head back to shooters, just friends not any of the wedding party. Then about 10 minutes before I am to do the on stage bachelor things I realize half my wedding party is gone except for Heath and My friend Adam that came in from Nashville and 2 other friends that were more my fiances friends. SO Curt my co best man, Denny the party planner(stayed at shooters), Mike and Tim and a couple other good friends are no where to be found. I do the on stage thing and when the DJ announces my party I hear like 4 people yell cuz thats all I have left of my guys.

I get off the stage and start calling my guys. After calling them all 4-5 times Curt finally answers. I can't hear him cuz he's in a bar and he then calls me back in a minute after walking outside. I ask him where he is and he replies, "Around the Corner", which is a bar about 300 yards from my apartment back in Lakewood(where we all live), while I was still in Downtown Cleveland. I BLOW THE FUCK UP. These dudes left w/o saying anything to anyone and just split back to a bar. So I'm flipping out on Curt, tell him I don't want him to come to the wedding and basically spew my built of frustration at him.

Now I'm here. So what do you guys think?

-Did I overreact?
-be a little pissed?
-very pissed?
-rip their faces off?
-remove them from the wedding party?
-combination of all

That sucks, they should know how important that is to you and IMO leaving at all makes them a shltty friend. Sorry for your luck. May be you should just call off the wedding, lol

Why be pissed off ?? Sounds like you had to light a fire under your friends to have a bachelor party in the first place.

I'd be pretty pissed. I've been to my share of bachelor parties, and don't think anyone has just randomly up and left to go somewhere else. Sounds like everywhere that someone could drop the ball, they did. Why didn't your friends just bring the friends they wanted to hang out with along with the rest of the bachelor party? Your buddies sound pretty selfish to me, I mean it's the last day their friend (you) can go out and do whatever you want with no consequences technically, and they go and do their own thing. I'd get new friends.

btw, congrats on getting trapped...err married

Oh also to add, most of the guys haven't even called to apologize. Curt has only cuz I tore him a new ass through the phone. Tim called but was trying to avoid the subject before I tore into him. I haven't heard from Mike or Denny yet. One of my good friends that left called and talked to me like nothing happened.

Sounds like these guys are more acquaintances than friends.

You might want to re-evaluate who your friends are.

First things first, Congrats for the ball & chain! LOL

My vote is to be very pissed but, don't leave them out of the wedding. Like what was said before, this is marking a whole new part of your life & they ditched you without even saying bye. I'm sure they're your friends because of a long history of thick & thin situations. Don't forget that. What they did is royally F'd up. No doubt about it but, their still your friends. I mean, if God forbid your whole life goes to $h!t, would they be there for you? They all really should apologize though.

I wish you the best with your girl bud. sorry weddings always make me........... j/k. Cheer up

Huh? His wedding is the event day of his life. If they are not there for him now, why would they be in any other situation?

well...sounds like your best buds arent really keepers.

problem #1...you put more than one person in charge. It is easier to pass the job to someone else. If you had just made 1 person in charge...that is it. Nobody else to pass onto.

problem #2...you did not set any expectations on what you wanted to happen. You should have told the guys...this is the kind of fun I want. Many probably would rather take their chances trying to get some at a bar, than hang with some beat strippers.

problem #3...sounds like you were WAY TOO SOBER by the end of the night.

yeah this is fucked up. get some new friends, dude...

which reminds me. we threw a bachelors party for a friend on a Friday night and made it as boring as possible. Half of the people did not show up, we all voted for not going to the strip club, couple of guys brought chicks with them and the friend who was getting married was almost in tears... but that was on purpose. His bride gave us the keys to his house, so we snuck in at 5am next morning, zipped him up in a sleeping bag, threw him in a van and took him down to Mexico for 2 days of debauchery, drinking and good times. It was awesome! 2 years later, he still talks about this weekend!
