F1 is the only reason why I'm keeping cable TV.

Now, we don't need cable TV. F1 TV will be view-able from any laptop/computer as long as we have internet connection, same is motoGP

Cannot wait to ditch cable for F1 online TV.

70-150 dollars to watch a parade of cars. No thanks, not unless things get much more exciting.

10-15 years ago there was Bernie's SkyDigitalF1+.. it didnt work and Bernie sold it.. this one can work but if they want to reach everyone they should lower the prices..

Looks like F1 TV is gonna go live for the Spanish GP. For the US, it's $2.99/Month or $26.99/Year (or 24.29 with current promo). It seems reasonable.

https://www.formula1.com/en/subscrib...tv-access.html

If you go to the content schedule, it looks like the US gets access to all the available features but there will be a 2 day delay for replays. I don't think I will subscribe because I would only get this for the ability to watch replays, and ESPN already offers this (commercial-free) with a lot less delay (only a couple hours after the live event). The other features are neat, but I'm just a casual follower and don't really need the additional analysis.

MLB.Tv is free for T-Mobile customers.
NBA is 100-150 I think.

300-400/yr on sports is still better than $100-200/mth on cable, at-least for me since I don't watch much.

The 26.99/yr package seems to suggest no live races. "Catch up on demand. w/Race Highlights."

I don't see anything about being able to stream races live.

It really depends on how much TV you watch, and what you watch. For us it has been a huge savings and I don't have to be a slave to any cable company and its shoddy equipment. Admittedly, I do not watch a ton of television and the lady of the house watches everything she needs on about 5 to 6 networks that come with most basic cable or streaming packages. YMMV.

Funk that, unless they bring back the V10s. (I know, won't happen.)

Yeah, but if wasn't for Bernie you wouldn't have any F1 to watch.

I currently have free access (Sky F1 through my Vodafone package - which is due to expire shortly - plus some races on Channel 4 here in the UK), but I'm not sure what to do next, despite not having missed a race in 20+ years. I even drove from Key West to Miami (with a very understanding wife!) on holiday just to stay one night in a hotel which had a channel that showed F1. :-)

But the racing has got less interesting - especially with Mercedes' recent dominance - and most of the drivers seem to have gone to the same PR school where they are taught not to show their personality and toe the corporate line in any interviews.

I signed up. Makes it easier to watch the races as a group, without someone having to find a download link.

No live streaming in Canada, and I won't pay for replay, one week later.
