Raced an IS-F today
First off i want to say the only thing i have done to my car is the Active Processor and the CDV mod, i saw the IS-F pass by on the road that i was making a right on and i decided to pull up to him, we were on a straight road that had no lights for about a mile or so.. so i asked him if he wanted to take a run.. we raced from a stop and we went all the way to 123, he had a head start about half a car length before we started (I dont know why we started like that but when i beeped 3 times he was already ahead by a little bit) but i still managed to gain on him after we both gunned it.. i was up by a car length the whole time up until 100 then his top end started taking over and i saw him gaining on me.. unfortunatley we hit some slow traffic up ahead and we both slowed down, he took the next right and i followed him when he stopped he told me he just got the car and that he was shifting before 5000rpm and i couldnt really believe it because he looked like he was going hard and i heard the engine. I just wanted opinions on if that could be possible and if hes just bullshitting that he wasnt going hard.. i mean why would you want to lose a race?

PS people who dont use 335i for street race or track race. I m so sorry but you guys are pussy.!!! what a waste of money.. BMW is for performance not attracting chick. BMW is not for cruise car. If you want cruise or show car, you might want to get Mercedez benz. |

As for your second point, you must be one of the most ignorant people to post here in a long time. First, there are plenty of cars that can whoop your ass for less than $30k. Second, line up on the track next to an AMG and see what happens. You're going to get smoked - you might as well just cruize to the finish line.

FYI. alot of 30K or less, you need to know something about the design of it. THey have poor handing suspension. Majority of the car on the street was not bmw car, it was mainly Japanese car. Alot of car got crushed by the Police was japanese car. Honda toyota. For bmw car. they have double pivot point. It help steering the car for you. DTC and DSC will also help you on the turning and handling of the car. I have see and was part of the major car accident when i was like 17-21 years old. My friend car was cut in half by the tree. His car was integra gsr. the other car was a super celica. I was only guy that ever live and talk about it. I do something have nightmare about it. There are alot of street at night in the the business area. do u think people still around there? come on now. no people. BMW and mercedez benz are very safe and handling are their specialty. I would take my bmw and race with anyone without worry too much.. if i m going to die tonight or today. when i was implied about racing on the street. i mean straight down no turning do a 1/4 mile run in a business area. PS Live and die in LA.. !!! YOU ONLY LIVE ONCE .. MAKE A FULL OF IT. |

Wow man.. I hope your friends don't share your mentality.
And as for other cars with "poor handling suspension" You might wanna rethink that..

And plus we all know Mercedes (AMG) rule the drag racing world. Nothing BMW has can come close in a drag race. |

This thread was originally posted in the autocross/track section. Street racing topics aren't allowed there. This topic is fine in the off topic
Hopefully that ends all the confusion. |

he has a IS-F not a M5.. im suyre he learned his lesson and is just pissed. |
