Well after driving both of em for two days down at the M school in South Carolina, I'd have to say that I'd prefer the M5. They're the exact same thing, except the M5 had the better seats and much, much better driving position. The M6's steering wheel column got in the way of my knees, so it couldn't go as low as I wanted without affecting my driving, but it was slightly more eager to turn in which I appreciated.
