Wink Are you a 2015+ M3, M4, M5, M6, X5-M, X6-M owner?

Millions of folks wanna know....

What do you do for a living to afford such a car.

I was in a discussion group earlier and someone mentioned that some folks on here are buying new wheels every 2 weeks. Now I'm guessing yall are particular and spending $10k+ on forged HRE, ADV.1, etc.

Myself, I'm a lowly low low six figga man. I work in tech.

I'm sure there are lots of $300k+ people in here... would you like to share a little about what you do that affords you an M3-M6... and heck, some of you own multiple M cars and SUV's simultaneously... so we're talking some bookoo bucks for some of yall.

Are you flipping real estate, running a hedge fund, e.r. doctor, lawyer, restaurant chain owner, trust fund baby, music producer, movie director, bank robber, porn star, trump advisor, building contractor, con artist, rock star, ...

01101001 Don't make the mistake of connecting what people drive (where they live/what they wear/share on social media) to what they make or have in the bank account. It's foolish to do so. I began my career in banking and you would be astounded at the disconnect between material possessions and bank accounts. Case in point, I have a buddy who works as a prison guard at a local jail. HS education. $50k/year annual income. Over the past 10 years he has bought and sold 4-5 $50-60k vehicles and has lost 20-30% on each, rolling the negative equity into each new vehicle. My favorite was when I had to talk him out of getting a Maserati. Nice. Nothing like living the millionaire lifestyle on $50k/year.

That said, if you have social skills, perhaps you may want to look into investment wholesaling or pharmaceutical sales. Both of which can be extremely lucrative.

Besides, he asked owners of new M cars. He would have asked for Range Rovers if he wanted to hear about poor people.

I work for 10 hours per day for free, I estimate i earn money from the seven I usually do get to work at enough to pay for an M3/4 even in Scandinavia but since I've had one already, paying triple for it here just isn't my thing.

I'm a stay at home mom. I make about 70k per year after taxes, donate about 60 and with the rest I accumulate to make myself be happy. my kids love the bad music played in my cars (when ever I have one) and that symphony of destruction is the song for the F8x generation according to everyone. My car had lots of issues.

I fuck around with stocks, and it's what I do to keep myself sane, but for the shit I do, I don't get paid but I get to be with my kids.

I am flying back from the Bay Area CA. I don't think the ownership of Ms is anywhere near as curious as how people can afford to live out that way. Anyone that can afford housing in SF or LA can afford an M if they live elsewhere.

I've found that a lot of truly wealthy people don't even drive very special cars because they understand that wealth doesn't come from investing in depreciating "assets" like cars.

Personally, I would do exactly that if I weren't such a car nut. Unfortunately I will likely lose tens of thousands of dollars in earnings due to my hobby.

01101001 Funny name!

I've always wanted to own a sports car (vette or M) but I just can't justify it. I continue to reinvest in my wife and I business along with other opportunities.

I wonder what the mean/median disposable income of those owning M cars is.

While Warren Buffet is often the go to example in his 20 year old pickup truck, I would have to disagree largely with that sentiment. Most buyers of $250k+ cars aren't living out of them... they already have tens of millions of dollars, so for them, buying a Bugatti is like you buying a 2001 Kia Rio. And when you have tens of millions of dollars, simply dumping that in the stock market is going to buy you a fleet of new cars every year if you choose to do that instead of reinvest.

Now I know I asked about M3+ owners, not Ferrari and Bugatti owners, but I'm just making the point that people buying hugely expensive cars often times already have the rest of their life in order, and the car is nothing to them.

That's why I asked the question. I was curious for honest answers, but instead it's open mike at the comedy store. I'd be curious to know if Subway sandwich workers are driving M3's.

Heh, the name is just a play on digital information. Everything passing through a CPU on every device in the planet... just 1's and 0's.

Yes, i'd be curious too... but that information is only known by BMW Financial, lol.

Heh, well... it would be interesting to compare San Fran vs. New York.
I'm sure both have 200 Sq Ft broom closets for $5,000 a month.

I've never made 6 figures in my entire life by myself (with my wife we did) and now that I am retired, I never will. What does age have to do with making 6 figures.

But I have owned 18 BMWs, my home is paid for and I paid cash for my M4. You don't have to make 6 figures to achieve success.
