Thumbs down iPod won't sync to PC

I know it's the iPod itself (5th gen classic) because my other iPod syncs fine.
Other than syncing to my computers, the iPod works fine.

I've tried updating iTunes, resetting the iPod itself, restarting both computers, etc. Nothing works.

Anyone else have this problem? If so, how were you able to fix it?

How can you ever expect to fix your iPod when you can't even post in the correct forum?

I will help you anyway because I'm some type of nice person.

Solution in the form of lyrics because iPod: "throw it in the gutter and go buy another"

Apple has deemed your iPod a brick because they have decided for you it's time to buy a new one. Accept the fate bestowed to you from the Gods, open your wallet, and go to church; er i mean the Apple Store.

Resistance is futile

Truly though, you gotta know how to blow on the contacts and fix it.

Hold the Menu and middle button down for a couple seconds until the screen fades out, wait for the iPod to reboot, then try again.

If this doesn't work, repeat the same process but this time around, instead of waiting for it to boot completely, quickly hold down the Play and middle button. The iPod will boot into Disk mode. It should work at this point. Once you're done, eject as usual then hold Menu and the middle button to reboot and allow it to boot normally.
