Top Gear USA has been canceled
From caranddriver:
http://blog.caranddriver.com/top-gea...d-of-the-road/ It wasn't so bad. I think it had some good moments. |

I wanted to hate it really badly but I think, once they hit their stride, it was mildly entertaining.

Good riddance, there is too much stupid nonsense going on.

Let's be real here... was it any less serious than making double-decker cars and racing them? launching a robin on a rocket? turning road cars into rail cars? I could go on and on.

It had a rocky start, but it got better over time. Hopefully another network will pick them up as there aren't too many good car shows out there.

Bummer, I thought they started getting the hang of it this season. I was definitely enjoying it more than the new BBC Top Gear.
I guess at this point, I'm really hoping the Grand Tour knocks it out of the park. |

Well, I should have said "too much stupid nonsense that wasn't funny".

Bummer. My 7 year old son enjoyed it a lot. It was fun watching it with him.

I enjoyed it. It's entertainment, not a show to help you pick your next ride.

He was the only professional driver on the crew so it made sense for him to do so. Adam Ferrara didn't even know how to drive a manual.

Recently gave it another shot after hating the early episodes and liked it. This is too bad.

BBC is afraid TG America will get better rating and better reputation than the messed up UK TG airing now.

I sort of enjoyed the "original" TG on BBC - nothing I would base a purchase decision on - just something goofy to get away from politics, etc. I cannot get though a single episode of the new series - they are trying WAY too hard to capture the old audience and it is NOT working at all (at least for us).
TG USA is just funny stuff - my wife enjoys it and always "complains" when two of the guys "cheat." Like TG on BBC, it is not a show you would watch to facilitate a purchase decision. |
