Leaked: 2009 Nissan Maxima Photos
All I can say is...WTF!? This car is ridiculously ugly, and I can't help but think that it looks more Infiniti than Nissan. The headlights are random, nothing seems to flow together, and the hood is pure Infiniti. What are your thoughts?
[Edit]: More pics popped up.

I'm thinking (In this forum) Nissan is not too popular right now. The GTR nonsense is really putting their Rep in the shitter. I agree BTW, front end is fugly. I don't like their CVT transmissions and don't think I really care much for anything Nissan.

the back end looks half decent.. the front... like u said.. seems to be all over the place. the interior looks like it was pulled right from the infiniti badge (which is great for nissan buyers but a slap in the face for infiniti owners). coming from an 05 g35 coupe myself... these pics are a reminder as to why i left in the first place. sad part is... nissan dealer's have better customer service compared to their luxurious brother's.

Oh my...quite a mess. Very busy styling.
Manufacturers' of mass produced/bought cars need to realize that being different/distinctive in today's highly competitive market does not mean having to be ugly.

doh FAILLLLL
G37 was half-assed, and nissan insists on fucking it up by making a whole bunch of other nissans look like it... tsk tsk tsk that's what happens when you drink and design cars at the same time.... or when you dont |

Damn...how random are those headlights and taillights? who in their right mind would make such a design? I'm not even going to start on the rest of the car! lol

I can't stand the roofline of the current Maxima. The point where the rear glass meets the trunk is just so sudden and sloppy looking. I also don't like how the rear glass is inset inside of two butress like things.

yes, the styling overall is fugly but you can still make out the G37 underneathe the whacky exterior. aside from the upgraded interior that seems like it was ripped right off of the Infiniti, the other possible good news to Nissan buyers is that this Maxima might be RWD. check out the short front overhangs that just screams RWD. i tried to brighten up the pic via photoshop of the rearview to see if i could spot a rear diff but no luck...

Interesting...and feasible. Yet another use for the now workhorse FM platform, I guess.

nice interior but wtf is wrong with nissan. do they purposely make them uglier each time. I had two maximas a long time ago and they were nice (fwd but nice). they are very ugly now.

The sad thing is, there is probably the coolest Maxima design ever being thrown in the trash for this shit to come out. Looks like they are giving that designer who failed on the Q45 another chance.
Looks like Nissan wants to head to the garbage. |
