Meh, Good initiative bad execution. I appreciate the effort but nothing is more annoying than hearing engines rev in park, and then redlining it is like nails on a chalk board to me. I can understanding giving a little throttle at a light or letting your friend check out the new car but parked and just revving away like an assclown is completely asinine.

I'd rather here the cars driving by or a driving clip with outside mics dubbed over the sequence....oh well.

The sound of the future is an acquired taste I guess, Wonder if in 50 years people will awe at the sound of a v8.

Bimmer should have gone the way of AMG and put a bi-turbo v8 in their m3/4 cars. The sound is absolutely despicable.

It is a shame, because in reality the F8X is the second best sounding ///M there.

No matter how F8x M3/M4 owners defend their cars, the F8x exhaust note is terrible.
That is NOT a good sound.

they made a 2 min video into 10+ minutes....LOL

I could make a better one if ppl in socal want to meet.

When I say F80 sounds like shit, it's not that I don't like how turbo cars sound but it's the sound engineering that went into it that sucks. Turbo cars can sound awesome.

This was not a well thought project. The intro is to hurried and someone tried to match the editing with the music, which was a terrible idea.

Where are the cars at speed, rolling acceleration, downshifts from speed, 1,2,3,4,5,6 gear changes and etc?

It's not very difficult to get the order correct of the cars, but getting the shots thought out is.

Storyboards are your friends. Even if ones just needs to have a direction.

Shot around some industrial area, really? It was amateurish.

I enjoyed the video. Thanks for sharing.

The E92 is definitely the outlier.

There is nothing that stirs up more passion then the stock exhaust sounds of ///M cars.
Respective owners are rightfully biased, easily offended, and quick to defend their model selection while bashing all others.

To a degree it's understandable as no one likes to call their baby ugly, or in this case, bad sounding.

Having said this, I agree with this order, which happens to be MY and few others' opinions.

The E92 might have plenty of issues such as bearing rods, weight, low torque but one place it doesn't lack in is induction sound and exhaust. So much so that even though I look forward to getting an F80, I have a hard time justifying the wonderful chassis but crappy exhaust/steering, when compared to the E92. The S65 is truly a special motor. Those lucky to have one should cherish each and every mile they put behind the oh-so-wonderful-even-if-a-tad-light-in-dead-center-hydraulic-steering. Do not trade up to an F80.

I'll go now...

E92 by a land slide. Both engine and exhaust sound is superb.

E92>>>>>>>>>E46>>>>E36>F80>E30

I will admit it was hard watching the idiot in the E36 free revving at redline and bouncing off the rev limiter.

F80 with MPE would easily be 2nd. I wish BMW made that exhaust standard.

I love how the F80 had a full 3s of revving glory, because all the other recordings they had probably sounded like shit. That e92 though

*Aside from the fact most cars didn't have stock exhaust *...
