People not using the passing lane to pass retarded?

Nothing more annoying that having someone not using the passing lane to pass and blocking the lane. What are these people doing? Are they retarded?

You can get a ticket for blocking the fast lane in GA. New law just passed a year or so ago.

i wish they would give ticket to people sitting in the passing lane in CA

it's as annoying as having to brake hard for people who decide to make a turn at the last minute w/o using blinkers

Obviously none of you have ever spent time in Florida...The left lane is permanently occupied by 80 year-olds with their blinker on driving 20 MPH slower than all other drivers...

Left lane is always a disaster because frightened drivers feel safe nice and far away from the big scary trucks and only have one lane of fast-moving cars to avoid on the right. Normally the rearview is just aimed at their face for quick teeth-cleaning or nose-picking

i feel bad if i'm in the left lane and not speeding. lol i feel the need to pass and quickly gtfo to let anyone with the desire to go faster than me pass.

i think part of it is drivers education. there's not enough emphasis on that lane actually being a passing lane.

I thought it was legal in the US to pass on the right? It's not in Europe, so the left hand lane always needs to remain free and open, unless you're passing yourself. Once you have passed, you must move to the furthermost right line, traffic permitting.

I worked in Germany for four years. The one time I finally snapped and passed a car to the right, I glared over as I passed and it was two US GI's just tooling along. Made me laugh that of course it was Americans jamming up the Autobahn.

Yup, and anyone has yet to explain me why do three cars with nothing in front of them take three lanes. I feel like a dick when I flash them my lights but I truly don't understand how drivers here seem to pay zero attention to their mirrors. To quote the really scary man who was my driving teacher: " if someone is closing in on you while you're on the left lane, take that as a hint that you are on the wrong lane. Don't make others pass from the right, move your car away".

He was a great teacher.i still sometimes try to imitate his nose movements when someone has kindly decided to block my lane.

Isn't it amazing, that people are so. freaking. stupid., that you need to make a law in order to get someone to do what they should be doing in the first place?
