Formula 1 Grand Prix De Monaco 2015
Formula E just raced here on half of the circuit a few weeks ago. Now its the time for the big boys to race.
I wonder if Hamilton will try to go our for qualify first and make sure he can bank a good lap time before Rosberg park his car somewhere again? http://www.espn.co.uk/f1/story/_/id/...4-monaco-error Lewis Hamilton won't let Nico Rosberg repeat 2014 Monaco error Lewis Hamilton says he will not give Nico Rosberg the opportunity to be the first Mercedes to set a time in qualifying in Monaco after what happened last year. In 2014 Rosberg had set provisional pole with his "banker" lap in Q3, but ran deep at Mirabeau on his second run and parked in the escape road. That brought out the yellow flags and prevented Hamilton from beating the benchmark time as the Brit had started his final flying lap later. Hamilton was convinced Rosberg's actions were deliberate but the German was unpunished and went on to win from pole position the following day. The world champion is determined not to give Rosberg the opportunity to make a similar error this year. "This year I will have the choice to go ahead of him so I will make sure I do that," Hamilton said, referring to Mercedes' rotating policy of giving one driver the choice of leaving the garage first or second in qualifying. Rosberg has been victorious at the last two races in Monte Carlo but Hamilton has not tasted victory on the famous street circuit since 2008, the year of his maiden world championship. "I don't look at it as unfinished business. The last two years I have had the car to win. The first year I struggled with it, last year I had the pace but other things were up against me and this year hopefully will be different ... third time lucky. For me I'm not worried about last year I'm just going there to win. I haven't won there in a long time so I'm going to work hard to get the balance right."

Monaco is dramatic due to the setting with narrow streets and it has a tunnel! But the head to head racing is usually one of the most boring of the year with passes limited to pit stops and failures unless it rains...wet weather please

Well we know Rosberg will be very aggressive there since it's his home town so there's the possibility that he and Hamilton will get tangled up.
And even if there no rain there's always Maldonado.

Monaco lap shortened by Tabac changes
Monaco lap shortened by Tabac changes
http://www.f1fanatic.co.uk/2015/05/2...tabac-changes/ Revisions to the Tabac corner on Monaco’s Grand Prix circuit have further reduced the length of what was already the shortest track on the F1 calendar. The drivers now arrive at the corner slightly earlier as the section of track which links the Tabac left-hander to the start of the Swimming Pool complex has been moved closer to the harbour by 2.5 metres. A crash at Tabac in 2013 involving Pastor Maldonado and Max Chilton forced the race to be stopped after the TecPro barrier on the outside of the corner became dislodged, blocking the circuit. The change has shortened the official lap length by three metres to 3.337 kilometres. The race distance of 78 laps will not be altered, Monaco being the only race run for 260 kilometres instead of the usual 305. The barrier on the inside of turn 15, the right-hander in the Swimming Pool complex, has also been moved since last year to give drivers a better view of the corner. More than half of the track has been resurfaced since last year, including the start/finish area, Casino, the entry to the tunnel, the Swimming Pool complex and pit lane.
