This is ridiculously expensive. Its gonna be almost $90k loaded. I only paid $73k for my loaded CTS-V in 2011 (actually it stickered for that, I paid about $67k).

If the ATS-V is gonna be $85-90k, whats a loaded CTS-V gonna cost? Six figures? Sorry, but Cadillac can't compete with BMW and AMG in the $100k league.

I never understand car companies logic sometimes. So you can get the track package, delete some items but then pay to have them added back on? And why does the track package delete the TOW HOOKS?

And folding rear seats aren't available with it neither? Lol. "Track" performance package = the worst track package ever! 2nd place goes to the Carbon fiber package.....

Awesome car with some stupid options and some dumb pricing from GM....again.

The ATS-V starts at $61k and the options it has are dumb. Getting this car fully loaded would be a total waste unless you want to brag about having a fully loaded car that performs just the same as a no optioned model......

The CTS-V is rumored to be in the high $80k to low $90k range, which is ridiculous too. It will beat Merc in the $100k league but not luxury and will beat BMW all together.

I can't see spending $100k on anything GM sells. I've had too much experience with them, their poor quality and their horrible dealers.

I seriously doubt that anybody considering an E63 or M5 will even give a $90k Cadillac a second look. I sure won't. The older ones had a big price advantage, which was why I bought one. Without that advantage, and lacking AWD, the new one is DOA. I'll take an E63 S thank you.

You shouldn't be critical of the fact that you CAN get the car up to 80-90k. The the car comes well optioned for much less than that.

Why is AWD a must for people? While thats nice and all it doesn't need to be the #1 factor. I guess its so you can go 0-60 in "3 secs" while its raining cats and dogs or 2 feet of snow then lose control....but we'll see how this DOA CTS-V and ATS-V do on the road course.

Caddy is pricing their stuff way, way too high anyways. From the $69k for the current CTS-V to lets just says $89k....how is it $20k more? Did they not see how Chevy priced the C7 Z06? C6Z was ~$76k and C7Z is $79k....I guess Caddy didn't get the memo.

Growing up around Chevys and Fords, we never had any issues. My GTO never had any issues nor my WS6. Dealerships....it doesn't matter what brand, dealerships will be dealerships. You just find the one thats the best to go to and deal with them, if you have to.

With that kind of power its a must. My 11 had right around the same power as the new one will (650hp) and it would break traction and fishtail on the dragstrip at over 100mph on the 3-4 shift. Its just not safe to sell a 650hp, RWD car to the general public. Thats why AMG went AWD and why BMW is also (the Panamera Turbo, 911 Turbo and GT-R need no mention). It makes it possible to get the power down instead of turning it into tire smoke.

I don't get why they're removing items only to charge for them again as a "protection package"

Well Ferrari, Koenigsegg, Pagani, Mclaren, etc better get the memo or their cars will only go up in a white smoke!

Sounds like you did have good tires for your V. 4200 lbs losing traction on a drag strip on a 3-4 shift sounds....fishy......

Those companies also have the engines sitting on top of the rear tires.

My V had the stock Eagle F1 Supercars on it.

AWD is not a must. A good driver is.

Yea, I'm not understanding this "Track Package" it seems to be cheaper if you just select everything separately.

Personally, I think it was very stupid for Cadillac to price all of their vehicles at the same level as BMW, Mercedes and Audi. They have yet to really prove themselves and the only way to pull customers away is by offering a price incentive. THe only people that read about how well the vehicle performs are us... the people on the forums. THe average customer will just go with what they know and are used to. M, AMG or S/RS

This.. it's almost as bad as comfort access not being standard. My 2002 Nissan Maxima had HIDs standard. It probably costs more for them to build the car both ways than just including them, I don't get it.

Seriously though, what makes that Track Package worth $6100? That's an absurd amount to pay for the carbon fiber package and deleting some other items. what in the ****

Yea that track package isn't a real track package. $5k for the carbon fiber pieces, which are truly cosmetic only features then deletion of floor mats, tire kit and the TOW HOOKS, then add a low mass battery and PDR....its GM being GM.

...And they say that the ATS-V is going to come well equipped so it should still be cheaper than the M3/M4. Just checked BMW.ca and I would buy the M3 as is. All the packages are for all these computer/electrical things that I don't want. Rear view camera? ConnectedDrive? Electric sunshade? All these things are unnecessary and taking a quick look, Cadillac doesn't have all these options as standard. This is just a Cadillac priced up there with the Germans. Good luck. Cadillac will move these once they start offering rebates and discounts a few months after launch.
