Interestingly FAST, considering other car mags and reviews could not achieve those kinds of performance numbers; hmmm....R&T always seems to get "the best" performance numbers of any car mag. btw -- in comparison, it also shows how they got 12.8 sec. @ 109.7mph for the '07 Audi RS4 and 12.8 sec. @ 113.3mph for the '08 Lexus ISF. I just don't trust R&T...I'll just stick with C&D and Edmunds.com for more accurate tests.

R&T is the only car magazine that broke 12's with the RS4.

Damn, those are some impressive stats. I would still take a GT-R with a manual tranny over it though. Build it Nissan, you bunch of ****!!!

Doesn't have one, when is the last time a car of the caliber came out with a manual tranny anyway?

FYI - I took a friend of mine in my PROcede v2 335i today. He's returning his E46 M3 SMG on a lease return next week, and just got himself a $90k '08 Porsche 997 S. He was absolutely floored with my car!!! He couldn't believe how fast it was and how much TQ it has; he said not only is my car much faster than his M3, but also faster than his new 911 S!!! He was also very impressed how smooth and fast it shifts with the Paddle Shifters.
After our drive in my car, I drove his M3 SMG, and all I can say is that thing is so clunky with so little TQ (and it seems very cramped inside too), and much slower than my car (so it would seem)...ha ha. I'm sure his 997 S is very nice, but like he said, it's still slower than my PROcede v2 335i and costs ~ $40k less!!!!!

Why do you feel so smug? You are going to see the 335i Procede v2 crush the M3 at the Swedish airfield runs.
It doesn't mean the M3 is a bad car but the Procede delivers exactly what is promised.....POWER.

Pay no attention to dr325i. He's been knocking the PROcede 335i for months (when he drives a 325i and used to drive an M3); he claims he's waiting for the E92 M3, which is fine, but he shouldn't knock it until he's tried it, imho. I keep inviting him to just take a spin with me in my PROcede v2 335i, but he's never available. Still waiting dr325i...just giving you some grief, buddy.

TQ, power or whatever, Procede 335 will never hit 4.1, or under 4.5 for that matter. I do agree that the 335 with or without Procede is a great deal, and I do believe it is fast and feels great (since I really liked the power of 335 stock), but for any of you (especially sflgator ) to claim that you can even compare it to e9x M3 just because "it felt faster than e46 M3" is plain ridiculous... |

Yeah, I know, that's why I said they need to offer it. I guess I'll just have to go with a 997 GT3 then if the day comes that I can afford to piss though that much money on that caliber of a car. Ferrari and Lamborghini still offer manuals, although its not the more popular choice. A C6 Z06 is offered in a manual, is that not on the same level as a GT-R?

I do agree that the 335i needs some suspension mods (coilovers, larger sways, etc.) to be on par with the E92 M3 handling, but if you have the $$ and want to add those mods, then by all means, they're available for the E92 335i. So, even if you add the PROcede v2 and suspension mods, you're still spending less $$ than the E92 M3 (although I suppose you're getting closer ). Like I've always said, I will also consider the E92 M3 for my next car, but at this point (from the stats, reviews, video runs from Sweden, etc.), I still cannot justify spending the extra $$ for the E92 M3. I will most liekly transfer my PROcede v2 and my wheels/tires to my next E92 335i in ~ 15 months. I have some real difficulties believing R&T got those performance numbers for the E92 M3; they always seem to get the best numbers of ALL the car mags. Look at what they got for the '07 Audi RS4 and '08 Lexus ISF...seriously, no other car mags could duplicate those kinds of performance numbers from any of those cars. btw -- are you still interested in a quick spin in my PROcede v2 335i????? Just let me know. My friend (the former E46 M3 SMG driver) who now drives an '08 Porsche 911 S was a bit skeptical like you, but in the end, he was VERY impressed (as he said with his head pinned back to the headrest)!!!!

Also, I DO BELIEVE YOU that my head would be pinned and that I would be impressed and so on. Also, that is not the only thing I am looking at the car... And finally, I still don't believe you that you would get the same performing car as M3 simply by adding Procede and a frw more things that you've mentioned... |

Have you ever owned an SMG car or are you a keyboard warrior on this topic? I have owned 2 SMG cars and they are infinitely superior to MT cars in every performance metric. And if a person weren't dumb as a monkey, you can modify the way the person drives to have it really smooth even in traffic.
