Test Drove Z4M... then drove my car
I consider my 335 one of the stiffest cars i've been in, especially after sway bars and what not. But today when i got in my 335 after test driving the Z4M i feel the car was so wobbly, steering is disconnected, i felt like i was driving a camry!
it's just weird. Z4M BMW did a good job on tranny, steering, and obviously chassis.... me likey... what i find is better on 335 than Z4M is the clutch feel, it's high but not as high as Z4M's. and the shifter is much smoother. altho i thought they both suck, and have a looong throw just wanted to share |

yeah bmw shifters suck. they need to take a hint from honda. i'm dead serious for those who think i'm joking. S2000, NSX... nothing comes close to those shifters. NOTHING.

Agreed. Even more so on the S2000. I've never had a stick feel so good in my hand .

my bro had a Z4M... I miss driving it...
he moved to germany.... he shipped it out there to drive it on the autobahn, shipped it back and sold it... (insurance is too expensive for a car with foreign plates... like 5,000 Euro a month)

Yeah, the gearbox on the S2000 was the best that I have ever felt in any car at any price. I guess you can get that feeling when there is no shift linkage involved.

Funny you should mention that because the dealer I am using has only B-roads around it and he told me that the Z4M Coupe hasn't sold anywhere near as well as he expected. So your words might just be the reason, apart from that the thing is plenty quick.

Yeah, it's definately not on the luxury side of the spectrum. The suspension is really stiff and if you hit a bump you know about it. But, that's all part of the feedback you get from a sports car.

Yeah, when you get on a nice curvy road you get sold very quickly though... that was my downfall

Nope, I meant the 997 GT2 It's an amazing car but I wouldn't want to drive one everyday. A serious driver's car, drive is totally different than a 997 Turbo. While the turbo has a hard semi-comfy ride, the GT2 is even stiffer, the seats are so tight I could barely fit into them, but the driving experience was great, it's like driving a super car, it is a super car after all isn't it lol. Steering, braking, shifting, all so precise and perfect you think theres no way it could be improved.
