Cool The dilemma between 3 bimmers!

My father is looking for some advice!

He is going to by a new bimmer but he can't decide which one he will buy.

And here comes the dilemma:

Which one should he buy?

BMW M5, 2006, 24.125 km (Sport and a bit comfort)

BMW 760li, 2006, 15.000 km (LUXURY!)

BMW M3 model 2008, 0 km (Ahh sport!)

I would pick the M3 myself!

But lets se whats comes out of this!

M3 would be my preference as driving dynamics, not size, is important to me.

2006 M5 is my choice. Bad ass in a tuxedo.

+1 with TurboFan

However, three completely different cars -- so most likely he's looking for something specific that would take out at least one car immediately -- space, doors, comfort... You can fit the whole M3 into the 7...

I'd go with M5, especially if manual.

My vote goes to M3. Nothing like brand new car.

hehe i think that it's a match between M3 and M5!

Can I get some more opinions about these two cars?

and i might say that, my father will only use the car for driving around and to work....and so there will not be passengeres(maybe my mom sometimes)

And of course I will borrow the his car, now and then :P

Get the M5 for now. Give the M3 a few years to work out the kinks, and to avoid the crazy mark ups.

The M5 is kinda like a marriage between the M3 and 7. Larger sedan, but with M blood.

Dont buy a car because of what WE think as we have different preferences. It all depends on what he wants. Obviously he doesnt know that yet or else he wouldnt cross compare a 7series with an M5 and M3. At least narrow it down to sport with some luxury or luxury with a sporty edge. Otherwise you're gonna be scratching your head trying to figure out which car is best for YOU!

You could always do what jeremy clarkson says and get the M5, push the m mode button when you want it to drive like an m3, and turn it off when you want it to drive like the 7 series. =P

Personally I'd take the M5 myself. It's a great combination of both worlds. Great all-arounder and +1 to turbofan as those are my thoughts exactly.

m5, little luxury and some sport, i agree the new m3 may have some kinks to work out, and the 760Li is pretty big and i assume if he is also considering the m3 he really doesnt need that much space,

+1 to Expired.

Wait for the e90 M3. That way your pops will be able to get that new dual clutch tranny.

I would pass on the 7er and the M3. With the depreciation on M5s nowadays, it's a steal for a 500hp sedan. Sporty and business at the same time.

Hands down both the best and fastest car on the list.

M 5 for me

I will go with the M5. Although this is about your fathr but I am in the same siuation as him. for years my mind was fixed on the M3 but now with the wait, lack of clear prices and possible markups. I feel that the M 5 is a better choice, I even considered the 650i with no waiting list and no markup and I can buy it tomorrow if I want. The M5 comes with very little more opitons to add to it and power, speed, business look and comfort are all plus marks. Your father will enjoy the 7 ride but if you are going to drive this car as well I will try my best to make him buy the M5. That is just my opinion. Good luck your father is not going to have a bad choice anyways.
