I just came across this thread and I was very shocked to read it. Chris passed away on 27th Oct 2006 (Fri).
I was still talking to him on 25th May 2006 (Wed) when he rang me up at 11:33 during his lunch time to ask about my decision in changing my ride. I checked my phone history and we actually chat for 21 mins 14 sec. I invited him to join me for The E92 Official Launch at Bukit Timah on Fri evening as I knew he was also very interested to view the car. He said he might meet me there together with his wife and kids but unsure if its should be on fri evening or saturday afternoon. He will confirm with me later. I called him again on the same day at 16:41 to get a confirmation. He did not ans my call. I know he is always busy because he is a doctor and so, I will wait for him to call me back as he always does. Now........ I am very shocked and extremely sad. Chris and I had been friends since begining of this year when I first met him at a carpark near one of his favourite car accessories shop. I was then admiring his kerscher front bumper. He was definitely the first few in Singapore to have this bumper. He shared with me his experiences on how he modded his car and how to import car stuff. He was very generous with his car knowledge despite me being a stranger then. Subsequently, we talked on the phone frequently about cars. After each mod, he always ring me up to share with me. I am very grateful for his magnanimous nature to share. He told me he was thinking of buying another car and was deciding if he should choose the E92 325 or the E60 525. Therefore, we continue to discuss if we should make the purchasing decision of either E92 or E60. Everything was too sudden. I still cant accept it. I am very sad. really very sad. I am definitely going to miss this car buddy of mine. He was absolutely a great friend. Brother........ RIP. |

Very sorry to hear this. Condolences. This life is soooo short, even if you live a hundred years. It's all about eternity. E90's are great, but things like this remind us that it's the people who are most important. My prayers are with him and his family.

May he experience an eternity of peace and tranquility. We will never forget his contributions to this forum. My thoughts go out to his friends and family.
I know he's up there driving the new M3 as we speak!!! Keep on burning that rubber, my Friend!!

Just knew this really sad news from BMW320i video. This is just unbelievable.
Was planning to meet him last week in Singapore to do some photo shoot for his car. But I gotta change plan due to family matter. Last PM from him: Re: photo taking i am an 3rd year advanced orthopaedic surgical trainee. still a poor doctor, bro- not yet in private practice. let me know when u are free in singapore. email me at climkt@doctors.org.uk Makes me even more sad to read that he has 4 kids already. Really hope his family got the strength to go through this. Must be really hard for his wife and kids. You're always in our memory climkt.
