And that's why I love the Bose HP's. The bass is awesome. The HP's cover the ear completely and they take AAA batteries I'm assuming to give them a little more "kick".
What I'm usually doing is listening to HD programs on TV with the headphones. This way I don't hear the kids screaming in the background.

Kidnap a normal person, yes its possible and demand 20,000 USD for his/her life, yes no problem because the law enforcement barely care about those cases. If you want a more "VIP" target, be careful.

In Mexico, justice only applies on rich and powerful people.

True, won't deny that. I'm a sissy when it comes to snow. Don't like it.

Most of the kidnapers demand from 50,000 to 300,000 USD (doesn't matter if is cash, vehicles, properties, jewelry)

i wonder what their success rate is? like where they actually get what they want and the person gets set free minus a finger or two of course.

The mutilations are just for the professional bands that kidnap important targets. The cartels like Los Zetas treat to kill the victim if doesn't receive the payment and in like 65% of the cases when the family pay all (in time) they execute the victim just because they can. No regards for life.

The succeed rate depends on your economic power and contacts. In other cases the victims are rescued during operatives by the local police, estate police, Federal police, Army or Navy (if are lucky)

you said that sometimes people are rescued by local police, federal police and military.

but most of the time, those people are actually working WITH the cartels.

local and state police enforcers of the dominating cartel. The Federal police and Federal Law enforcement are mixed on who follow/join forces. The military have the same issues like the Federals, except the Navy which the only one that actually fight against all the cartels.
