I can tell you the '23 M850 begins production in March, I'd assume the M8 would follow suit.

You said G05LCI will get TÜ3 engines, like G70.
Is there any chance to get the G70 Hybrid Set-up in the G05 LCI?
480hp for 45e?

Any hope of the non-full M version of the new 5er (G60/G61/G68) ending up with an 8-cyl (e.g., S68) engine? From the first page, it seems like the answer is "no".

Supposedly the Supra is getting a manual. Does that mean the Z4 will also get one?

Hi, compared to the SOP date, when can a car be ordered/expected launch be? Thinking about the 430ix GC specifically.

You are able to order 430i xDrive GC right away. No separate "launch" coming.

The rear unit will almost certainly be different, likely the same as used on eDrive40. Can't say anything about the front one.

IMO a low volume single year run ///M Roadster would be a wise decision, but who knows how many good decisions remain in the building…

ynguldyn Any reason to suspect the LCI(-lite) G80 may drop the Base (6MT) model?

The way you ask this question actually contains in itself the reason I can't answer it. LCIs are considered as separate models, and so I can see which models will be offered at LCI, which ones will be replaced or cancelled. With the M cars, an LCI is not formally considered as such, so all I know is the original production starts and ends as they were planned before the model launch. Marketing conditions often result in premature model cancellations but since they are driven by sales and not engineering, they are invisible to me. Cases in point: early cancellations of F1x 6 series or G32 in the US market. I never knew about those until they were reported by others.

Fair enough, and thanks for your insight as usual. The rumored take rate on the Base/6MT is around 15-20%; do you have any special knowledge about whether this is accurate, and/or whether BMW is dissatisfied with that share?

Not surprised they actually put effort in making the 6MT offering less appealing...

More like 25% since the introduction but the last few months it's been all about the AWD version, with both Base and RWD Comp falling far behind.

Very true. I handle the orders at my store and I haven't had a single comp RWD order since the AWD release. Very few base 6 speed as well.

G05 X5/G06 X6/F95 X5M/F96 X6M
In production until 07/26 (G05, F95) and 03/27 (G06, F96)
LCI in 04/23.

Can someone explain how this works as this is not clear to me? They produce the current model till the 26th of July 2022 and after that they start producing the LCI model?

Till when can you order the regular model and from which date you need to order to get the LCI model ?
