if I did not have the 135i I just bought, I would be looking at a 370 or genesis, bang for the buck is important to me
when the kids are outa the house, then I can get a true 2 seater

Considered the new S5 (Supercharged version). But that would not be until 2010 or so. Long time away . Even tossed around the idea of the new redesigned 135i (if it has a newer impoved body design).

would be interested in a 135i if the new body style is better than this one.

Debating weather to jump ship to Audi. I looked at the A5 and I was very impressed, but the sheer driving dynamics of a BMW are worth staying. Not sure yet. Hopefully save up for an RS5 or a 335, which ever I can afford.

Haha I've seen you on A5OC. I've considered it too, but trust me, the longer I stay on that site, the more scared I am of switching over to Audi. The reliability issues are seriously scary, especially with the new cases of engine failures after 6K miles. Not to mention, without Drive Select, the driving experience is pretty underwhelming...

Yep, I'm on there. I wanted to get an A5 back when they came out but Audi delayed it 6 months(2nd time). I wasn't going to wait anymore. Wow, In that case, I won't be going anywhere. My next car will most likely be a 335i, Do you know the cause of the engine failure after 6k? That's just ridiculous! |

With regard to some of the issues that have deterred me from the car - Engine issues http://www.a5oc.com/forums/showthrea...153/index.html Jeff S and BlueA5 both seemed to have the issue Lots of vibration issues http://www.a5oc.com/forums/showthrea...286/index.html http://www.a5oc.com/forums/showthrea...521/index.html Engine cuts out http://www.a5oc.com/forums/showthrea...300/index.html The clutch seems to be a common problem http://www.a5oc.com/forums/showthrea...279/index.html General problems - http://www.a5oc.com/forums/showthrea...846/index.html Obviously BMW isn't without it's lemons too (that last one I feel bad for, that's gotta be a lemon), but the number of problems BMWs have seem to be concentrated on certain particular issues (say, 1 or 2), rather than general problems with the car overall. Just my 0.02, I'm probably staying with BMW, or I may lease the A5 (it's just too good looking of a car), no matter how horrible their lease rates are.

My original post was E39 M5. But, after some thought... I may get a lot of shit for this but I have always wanted:
Chrysler Crossfire SRT-6 (AMG CLK-32) Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT-8 (500+hp in an SUV) Honda Cr-z or my original plan E39 M5! |

I want something with a comfortable ride for my next car and even though that is about 4 years away I'm thinking:
A4 2.0T IS250 MKZ I'm also thinking about maybe moving to a SUV in that case I would look at: CX-7 GLK LR2 MKX Really I have no damn idea what my next car will be until it is in my driveway.

I have a dream garage. Many are practical and attainable, some are absurd.
Germans: - Porsche 930 and 964 Turbo - E24 BMW M6/635CSi - E28 BMW M5 - E30 BMW M3 - E34 535i - E36 M3 Lightweight - E46 BMW M3 (only in Laguna Seca blue) - S54-engined BMW M Coupe - Late-60s Mercedes-Benz 280SL "Pagoda" - Mercedes-Benz 500E (W124) Brits: - Triumph TR3A and TR4A (w/Surrey Top) - Aston Martin DB2 Italians: - '84 Ferrari 288 GTO (though I would also be happy with the less-costly 308/328GTS or 348 GTB) - Alfa Romeo 75/Milano (one of the V6s or the 1.8T) Americans: - '68 Corvette - Duesenberg SJ Mormon Meteor - Auburn 851 Boattail Speedster

I LOVE the new GLK. I just dont really think its a guys car. I can't believe a college kid is thinking about a Lincoln for his next car though. Granted I think the MKZ is a good looking car, but for my Grandma, not me.
