My friend , I'm pretty sure Toto Wolff has very bad memories from the last race in Abu Dhabi !

In other words : It was a big motivation for RB , MAX and HONDA-Japan...

Plus they were running several new parts for next years car [1] which would also have taken the edge off the performance in addition to turning the engines down.

[1] In preparation for the upcoming post-season day of testing where teams could strictly only run the cars in the same specification they ran in for the Abu Dhabi GP.
