Old Indian movies are also like that lol.

Honestly though, I can't see myself dating an Indian girl from today. Way too different mindset, usually.

Ethnicity wise? I'm pretty open; usually.

Mainly the personality is what I look at it. Nothing too basic white girl; street smarts is a must, books smarts are good. Humble; that's a big one.

I mean what culture grew up with..

Most of the time, the more similar life experiences, the easier it is to mesh.. like u can find someone very attractive but have zero to talk about

It's good u already know what u want, I have no idea..

I worked at a young age, learning the ropes of how to run a hotel and business. I learned the clerical stuff, but also the other stuff (like maintenance, customer service, negotiation, etc). High school was weird for me. Didn't really go out on weekends or breaks; instead worked on other stuff (since I finished school work early). Same with college.

Was always around construction, and the hospitality business so learned basic electrical, plumbing, HVAC skills as well as listening and problem solving skills. Learned a lot from those people and those experiences.

Never was a really social dude, but not quiet either. I did my work as fast as possible, to the highest of degree, and moved on to the next thing. When all the peccary work is done, I find something new to do.

It's the damn truth. I told her it's a no go, and she needs to hush hush. Now the test is going back to work and seeing if it sunk in.

Well, shame is an appropriate feeling for owning a Mini.

I'm sure it's just a reminder of how old jtodd_fl really is. Not my fault I can appreciate the same cars he had growing up in the 1970's.

I really do have a hard time understand women, or people in general.
So this chick msgs me, after i ad her randomly on some social/date app. She asks me if I could give her the directions to her hotel.
Now, how does one play this?
First, ofcourse i choose the worse possible response [ducking from all your rocks thrown toward me] - I actually give her the directions, very seriously, without a hint of changing the topic or insinuation at anything.
Now I can already imagine what some of u would do, Ax would already have his hand down her pants, Aat would try to make her feel comfortable and attend to her needs, verbiage would have assault her already.. j/k
The point is, what makes each of us have such a difference response to the same stimuli?
Needless to say, do the same thing, expect the same results..

I really need some inspiration in how to do things differently.

I didn't date until late (college) and the first one i got stuck with for 7yrs.
I've found part of the reason is my dad has always been subtly cock blocking me.. as does the rest of my family actually.
But it's funny I never realized it before, a large part of the reason i never did anything in this direction is because once you're discourage early u don't really make another attempt, because if u r not aware someone is cock blocking u, u think it's just u .. that u suck so u will never succeed. This perhaps is the greatest mindfuck, and also greatest crime of family.
Applies to everything else as well.

Giving her directions is probably what I would've done. Just saying.

Asking for directions is a bit daft, don't you think?

From personal experience, Girls usually ask things like that to talk to people. Had my most successful relationship start with a simple math question...chick had a higher GPA than me asked me about a simple math problem. I solved it for her. She asked for my number; I gave it to her. The rest is history

I know.. i used to be like that.. actually still am. I guess it's for ppl who really don't know how to start a conversation.
Funny, cuz this chick is like older -28, so def. more looking for a husband/serious than a chick in early 20s who just wants to have fun
Probably it's natural that only a small percentage of ppl anyone can really relate well with - trying too hard to get ALL the chicks is a set up for misery.

Okay, so this other time. I chick i've been following for a month or two randomly sends my a "laughing" emoticon - i have not said anything to her except follow her.
So i respond, "question-ing/mark" emoticon and "wondering" emoticon
then the next morning she responds "morning"
so i respond "morning" +smile emoticon
then nothing..
WTH is going on??!
