Well I guess I'll add some
1. When you buy anything out of the Rice Wall from Pep Boys, Auto Zone, Wal-Mart, etc for your car
2. When you add an excessive amount of chrome (excluding rims)
3. When you have a decal that is over 2.5 tall and 1 foot long
4. When you add on any lights to your car ex- window sprayer lights, under glow lights, any large xenon tube in your car, strobes lights, etc
5. When you have your rims painted a color that god knows should not be associated with your car.

As far as debadging your car.... It's to make the appearance of the car look "clean" I do not consider this to be rice. Black line are not rice....nuf said.

Beauty is purely a subjective thing. Rice is what I feel it is. In my case its white and I eat it pretty often. Relating to cars I tend to call those owners wierdos instead of referring to rice which I happen to like eating.

My bottom line on modifications is this...if it makes you happy do it, don't worry about what others think about it and don't get butt hurt if they laugh at you.

I don't recall anywhere where I said anything needed to be removed. I just stated what I consider to be rice. If you don't agree that is OK. Technically if you increased your boost from factory you would want to monitor it so that would be considered a part of the performace increase. What kills me with guages is when people add them to a car with no performance mods. Unless you are harcore tracking the car, guages without performace mods are way rice. The shorter shift knob, if it reduces your throw, increasing your shift speed then it is not rice. The V1 I also have so I guess I'm a ricer also!

oh, AT is rice too, why only U.S. have AT m3?

Xenon and AT come standard on the car from the factory 335I (while AT is an option, you usually have to order a manual in order to get one). It's when you change it from stock the question of RICE comes into play.

Again, I never said anything was wrong with it, so no, I don't want to trash my headlight. Now if I change out the bulbs for my angel eyes so they match the xenons, that would be rice.
