To all of the douches coming down on the guy for reporting a crime, fuck off. Its his poragative to report it, he was in the right. And saying he ran away from a confrontation... stupid. if anything is a ghetto in MTL it would be "St-Michel" or "Park-X"
and they don't have gangs chilling around them.. only near the metros and usually there is a police station right around the corner..

I found the old Harbor area to be quite dicey not ghetto but a lot of people just hanging around looking like trouble. And compared to where I lived in Socal then it was expensive to me but that was a long time ago like the late 80's. Like I said Montreal is nice place, maybe it's western Canada plains attitude I have against Quebec that fosters my feelings in general. Do like Quebec City though and did not like Ottawa at all. Just my opinion.
