Once I got a speeding ticket for going 4 times the speed limit. That's right, you heard me, 4 times the speed limit.
20 in a 5 mph zone. The judge: "sir what do you have to say for yourself going 4 times the speed limit?" I said "That sounds a little harsh don't you think?"

121 in a 70 just outside naples on alligator alley in florida. I was 200 feet from my exit. My girlfriend was on the phone with her parents and told them "He just got a 120+ mph speeding ticket" Lets just say when I arrived at their house 5 minutes later they were none to pleased to hear about me driving like that with their daughter in the car.
Saving grace... I have a NY state license and this happened in FL. I may never be allowed to get a license in florida again but who wants one anyway... I think the total fine was $875.00 plus I payed the best lawyer in town to help me out. He made the problem go away and I have a completely clean license in NY. Funny thing is it was 1 month after I completely stripped all aftermarket parts off my car and had it completely stock. I once made it from Naples to Boca Raton in 1 hour and 19 minutes.. Check the mapquest do the math to find the average speed. Rougly 120 total miles. I used to do the trip almost every weekend because we (me and my gf) went to school in boca and her parents lived in naples. |
