Before qualifying starts?
Currently it's raining (or has rained) in Sochi based on some live webcams I've viewed.

The only thing we now know is that VER will start at the back of the grid due to a new PU if I'm correct.
So although he's a really good driver in the wet, I believe winning will be impossible.

My prediction:
1. HAM
2. NOR
3. BOT
4. SAI
5. VER
6. PER
7. RUS
8. GAS
9. ALO
10. LEC

Just in that FP3 is cancelled because of excessive rain on the track and we await what is happening with quali and if it continues the same will apply for quali.Putin is not attending today.

Quali may be moved to Sunday. Last time it happened was at Suzuka two years ago, on that occasion an incoming typhoon was the reason though it turned away at the last moment.

One factor that could skewer qualifying is having the airport open..."While the conditions at the track have improved, there is still inclement weather in the local area that is affecting the airport and road network." The concern centers around the medical helicopter being able to operate.

Just to remind Max has a 'complete' new PU and new gearbox and quali doesn't matter as he starts from the back with Leclerc and Latifi so I guess they've had the same complete change as Max.
The Mercs can't relax so the pressure is on them...and Alonso has an old score to settle.
