Wow wow wow, 5th Gear FTW! These guys are good. Really good.
You are talking of this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YODPH...eature=related
right? Those 5th Gear guys are something. Best car show. Alive and not boring like motor week over here in the US where the narrator is half dead. These guys can make a ham sandwhich look really interesting. But now makes me wonder if this is the same car you were driving that was so.. oh, un-impressive. Must be the driver's fault.

The settings is M-Dynamic mode, for launch control the car needs to be in this mode.

Guys, don't mistake launch control for M Dynamic Mode. Launch control is only on cars equipped with the new Double Clutch transmission M-DCT, to initialize it you have to follow a specific procedure. M Dynamic Mode on the other hand is part of the optional M Drive and can be ordered with MT cars also. M Dynamic Mode is somewhat comparable to DTC on the regular BMW cars, which means it loosens the DSC and allows some minor drifting before DSC kicks in. 2 different terms for two different things. Hope this helps.

I have an E46 M3 with the M5 3.91 DINAN rear differential installed and it does not even come close to my DINAN chipped 335i torque. My 335i leaves my M3 behind by a length and a half when I churn through 5K RPMs in third and this is where you feel the torque the most in both cars. AND...I have my E46 modded with DINAN throttle bodies, DINAN cold air intake, light weight fly wheel, DINAN free flow exhaust, and the DINAN 3.91 rear differential. Even with all of these mods it does not compare to the chipped 335i. I was originally on a waiting list at my local dealership for the M3 but I am pleasantly surprised with the 335i and how much further I can take this in performance at half the cost of what I spent on my E46 M3. SS
