This is a little different. I was a bit under the weather and stayed in all day yesterday messing around in Photoshop.
It's better viewed a bit bigger by going to Flickr. Coyote- hunt Strip by lennycarl08, on Flickr |

As always the wildlife shots are absolutely stunning.
Keep up the good work guys ! Dave, in your latest 'big buck' shot, the grasses look as though they're covered in frost. Are they ?

Thanks Dave,
Another really nice shot, and the frosty breath really adds to the feel. Weather over here is unusually mild for November.

Love the frosty look. I'm headed to Kansas City tomorrow for a few days, and actually look forward to the weather. I'm not used to water falling from the sky anymore

Great shots, DC and Ed. I just got back from Orlando where it was 90F and humid this weekend. Very odd weather patterns everywhere.
Still playing around with my G7x. Not a bad little camera if used properly. Ground Cover by Mark Johnson, on Flickr

Ed, crazy coyote pose. Great image.
Mark, the G7x seems to produce nice details, with good colors and contrast. Alan, we've had a mild fall also. That was actually the first frost. In years past, the lake was already partially frozen by this point.

WOW !
Panicos, that really is a wonderful shot, great perspective and image quality. I flew back from Lisbon to Edinburgh in one of those last week.

A little abstract. This is the Doudna performing arts center at EIU. Weirdly shaped building that shows every stain and sign of wear. The 100+ year old administration building looks less abused than this building which completed renovations in 2008. It's an expanded shell around the original arts building, parts of which can still be seen inside. The interior spaces of this building are very cool, though.

From the Bill Reid foundation-http://www.billreidfoundation.ca/banknote/raven.htm
"The sculpture of The Raven and the First Men depicts the story of human creation. According to Haida legend, the Raven found himself alone one day on Rose Spit beach in Haida Gwaii (also known as the Queen Charlotte Islands). He saw an extraordinary clamshell and protruding from it were a number of small human beings. The Raven coaxed them to leave the shell to join him in his wonderful world. Some of the humans were hesitant at first, but they were overcome by curiosity and eventually emerged from the partly open giant clamshell to become the first Haida." I've looked at this for 30 years now and can sit for quite awhile looking at it. The whole piece is carved from tons of wood glued together.
