Sometimes a melatonin if I feel like falling asleep may be an issue. Three or four aspirin if I’ve had muscle exertion that day or if I’m kind of hyped up. Aspirin helps me relax. I’m a big fan of aspirin. I think I’ve talked about it here before. I became a fan in the Army. I don’t remember how I discovered this, but somehow I discovered if I took three aspirin before a PT test, since my pain and inflammation were mitigated ahead of time, I could do more pushups and sit-ups, and run the two miles faster. It made a noticeable difference in my PT scores.
I have been taking omeprazole since the 1990s and hoping doing so isn't leading to another condition... Reflux has been a big problem for me and can lead to esophagus issues, including cancer. So I keep taking it per GI, who also performs an endoscopy every 5 years or so. If I fall asleep on my right side or back, it almost always results in reflux. So I always try to sleep on my left side. Getting an adjustable bed to raise head / upper body has also helped and it is pretty rare that I get reflux now (always self inflicted, such as eating something I shouldn't too soon to sleep or over-eating).

We have an adjustable bed. Also take a couple of meds for acid reflux; famotidine in the morning and pantoprazole at night. My gastroenterologist recommended both the meds and the bed. Haven't had acid reflux for several years. Don't think I could sleep on a regular bed now. Love the adjustable one.

We can only get 1,3 & 5 mg tablets and I’m 6 or 7 depending on day of week. I must have 400 or so 1 mg tablets so just knocking them back.

Funny age related thing with these meds is I can work on basic garage projects and come out looking like I’ve been the punch bag for kick boxing gym with bruising all over.

I just learned about Pantoprazole recently. I should probably get a prescription and try it. The omeprazole is a little lacking these days. I have a wedge I sleep on with my pillow.

I noticed yesterday that there isn't a pencil sharpener anywhere near my work office. It's been a long time since I've needed to sharpen up a #2 pencil to take a test, and I don't even have one in my desk.....

Seems after our monthly meetings, I am going to have to force them to start watching "classic" movies, from the 1980s.

They have zero clue who Lawrence of Arabia is, or how to Sing in the Rain. Probably can't Dance with Wolves, either

I can't remember the last time I used a pencil.

Bad memory (because I'm old) or just that it's been that long?

Had to get out of the car with a broomstick and break that snowball apart, works real well on a date. One year of that crap car and I bought a brand new Camaro, loved it. Couple years later upped my game and bought the Burt Reynolds Trans Am, 400 4 barrel, t top, black and gold. Those were the days my friend...I thought they would never end....
