Short story on the maple syrup bit - I was walking through this forest near where I live, and saw some industrious people had decided to tap some maple trees for sap.

So, ok, no problem, seems fair. But as I'm walking along I start realizing that whoever is tapping trees clearly doesn't know which trees are which. Because I definitely saw a tap sticking out of a white birch tree with a bucket to catch the sap. I mean, come on, how hard is it to figure out that a white peeling bark on a tree with leaves that do not resemble the leaf on our flag at all probably ISN'T a maple tree. Oh well, I hope they enjoy their birch sap.

I like jokr. He's like an intellectual troll so sometimes he's got some decent feedback- and other times it's just best to take what he says with a grain of salt.
