Being on the left myself, I have never once spew the EV propaganda or agree on EV, there are a billion things that can be done, but not because most of them don't have a financial incentive, if anything the green grift is ran by the top 1%, and its crosses political boundaries.

Your point on the green grift is well taken. I have always been an environmentalist and it bothers me to know end that we are being so manipulated by people with an agenda that has little to do with saving the planet. |

Imagine simping so hard for the US government, which is what Tesla is.
13% of the stock market is owned by 99% of people - the other 86% is the mega rich, including the the government. They pick winners and losers - and they hand picked Tesla. The choice laws, tax breaks, free advertising, and of course - HUGE investing windfalls. From SpaceX, to Twitter (also owned by the government under the guise of a private service) and Tesla. They all exist to solve a problem created by the government. Tesla is cheap, ans simple - has great tracking and monitoring capabilities, limited use outside of the urban areas. It’s literally their wet dream. And people here fall for it hook line and sinker.

Another EV got out of control just like HAL in 2001 a space odyssey, tried to kill it's driver by acceleration when brake pedal was pressed.

EV enthusiasm varies depending on where you live Huh
NYT: EVs made up more than 30% of new car registrations in San Francisco In Detroit, Cleveland and Pittsburgh the EV share was closer to 3% Republicans are less likely to be considering an EV than Democrats As the list of popular EV cities suggests, those who have made the shift tend to be richer, younger and more likely to lean left politically than the average American. Among Republicans and those who lean to the right, 70% said they were not likely to consider purchasing an EV as their next car, a 2023 Pew Research survey found. Whereas, just 30% of Democratic respondents said the same. https://www.newsnationnow.com/us-new...here-you-live/ |

How he's painted by drain circlers, like Vox, is one thing. His voting history is another. BO, both times, for example. Was behind rFk jR...about as right as the Berkley Band. Because he put his feet down on the lunacy left left, he became their target du jour. Buying their proven propo outlet drove them insane. Well, more insane.

Update from my friend who has his Tesla for 3 weeks. He told me life is good if I can find a Tesla supercharge station otherwise life suck. His wife hated him so much because first thing in the morning (and every morning), he is thinking about his Tesla and not his wife First thing come to his mind is planning where to go to get his car charge at the supercharge station. His life is now all about charging up his car. Reason is if he used the level 2 charging stations, it took 6 hours to charge the car from 20% to 65%.
Oh well, break the leasing contract and get your life back if I am you. |

Especially the kids shouting out "Are we there yet?" for the battery to finish charging. Then the mom told them, be quiet just another 3 hrs to go....

Charging EVs Now Cost An Equivalent of $17 Per Gallon: Are They Still Worth the Hype?
March 6, 2024 According to the Texas Public Policy Foundation’s report, the rising cost of fueling EVs is due to many reasons, including hidden costs. The study said that some of these charges stem from enormous federal subsidies. The report also revealed that some of these costs come from an increased burden on the energy grid exerted by charging stations. Hence, consumers are having a hard time deciding which way to go. Regarding electric vehicle charging infrastructure, the United States boasts the third-largest public charger network worldwide. However, a 2022 survey revealed that 77 percent of U.S. consumers can’t power their electric vehicles at home. “Adding the costs of the subsidies to the true cost of fueling an EV would equate to an EV owner paying $17.33 per gallon of gasoline,” study authors Brent Bennett and Jason Isaac write. https://gistfest.com/charging-evs-no...orth-the-hype/ |

Tesla plunges off overpass, catches fire after landing on 134 Freeway
Mon, March 4, 2024 Two men were left in serious condition after the Tesla they were traveling in went off an overpass and burst into flames on the 134 Freeway in the Griffith Park neighborhood of Los Angeles Sunday night. The crash was reported just before 11 p.m. when the car drove through a barrier on the Riverside Drive overpass and landed on the center divider of the freeway below, the Los Angeles Fire Department stated in a news alert. Two men, aged 65 and 60 managed to exit the vehicle, which eventually burst into flames. Anyone walking away from that should go directly to a church.
