Been to machine gun shoots. Own several full autos. And I know how much ammo that thing eats. I think that short series of bursts could have set him back $1000s of dollars.

OTOH the guy is either a manufacturer and it's a business expense or he is seriously effing rich and doesn't care.

Badass! It's a C-RAM on steroids.

It was always awesome to hear the C-RAM go nuts. Granted it meant there was shit about to drop on your AO, so theres that, but hearing mass amounts of firepower always gives me a boner.

100% it cost thousands. Every time I squeeze the trigger on my .308 I'm throwing over a dollar downrange.

To me the Canadian, the way it is mounted and everything, I just figured it was probably military rather than civilian, in which case, they don't care because it is much more your dollars than it is theirs that they are sending downrange.

But if civvy then yeah, be expensive, even if it were a business expense, so what in a way - all you are really saving is the tax cost of those dollars, but what is that in America - 30%? So you are still pissing away 70% of that dollar. I'd prefer to take the 70% and pay the tax....most of the time. Sometimes not.

I would assume its Navy. They have a lot of this kind of coolness.

Based on the way they sent out a drone to shoot at I assumed this was someones private setup at a fun shoot. And I assumed if military they would go with a heavier caliber like 20mm like they use on SeaWitch. That looked to my eye to be 762. First thing sprung to my mind was the guys at Dillon Precision who could and would build something like that.

Yup. Looked it up. One and only cool guys at Dillon. 12,000 rounds per minute. Had to have shot 4000 rounds in that clip. Well heck, they build reloaders and deal in parts and supplies so I guess they can make it cheaper than the around $450 a 1000 we poor people pay.

Yeah when I watched it at work the quality was throttled to low, so I didnt see the drone and didnt see that its mounted in a trailer.

Would be fun to shoot... on their dime lol

HELL yes. I've been to a few shoots here in AZ where they are headquartered but never say that thing. I did see a single minigun they brought to one.

But at that shoot what stood out to me was this guy with a bowling ball cannon. Seriously. Or more like a mortar. When he fired it it went almost straight up and too forever to come down and I swear it LOOKED like it was coming down on us. There was also an announcement after he fired it to NOT shoot his bowling ball.

LOL - I went to visit the guys at Western Powders many years ago. I said "what's that?" and they all laughed and said "that's our bowling ball cannon". One of them saw one at an event like that and decided they needed one.

They got it made and honed out and were ready to test it. They decided to start "light" and put in a pound of smokeless double base powder to "test" it and get an idea of the load they needed to fire it. They used levels to aim it as straight up as they could and got all the guys in a circle spread out 25-30 yards out to guesstimate how far up it went to work on the next load.

They touched it off and the bowling ball immediately went out of sight. They said "Oh Shit" as they were now not sure they were far enough out in the prairie to have it not come down onto one of the buildings! LMAO

Someone claimed to have heard an impact - they thought, but a check of all the buildings showed no signs. Luckily they painted the ball hunter orange (their one GOOD idea) and they found it later that week about 150 yards "down range" from the buildings in the field. Took them some time to get the nerve to shoot it again, but they got it down.

I second that too, have one onto my combat helmet in white/blue/IR and wouldnt go w/o it.
Lasers and lamps are strictly forbidden in Germany at civil available weapons and even the possessing of it could be considered as a crime, because you would only be able to buy outside of my country.

Wonder if there is a way to mount one on an old Ithaca pump 12 gauge. I have neighbors and if in the wierdest possible circumstance some idiot should come prowling up by me that is the weapon of choice. I've never owned a weapon light before.

BTW nice setup.

It might not look good but you can add it...I would vote a shotgun that a light fits on better. They are relatively cheap.

How many of you are jumping on the opportunity for a free SBR tax stamp, how many are ready but waiting to see if things change right away, and how many are going to wait out as long as you can?

I submitted 2 for the amnesty stamp, I don’t expect them to be approved any time soon. The eform website keeps crashing since so many ppl are doing the same. My numbers could be off but I remember seeing that the atf usually gets around 25k form 1 apps per year. There will be millions of ppl submitting within the next 120 days.

I do have a Remington pump somewhere. Maybe switch to that. When I get back to the states I'll look into this. Neighbors just spotted a wolf in the area. If there is one there are more. And some idiot might take fluffy for a walk one evening and run into the pack and a light would be handy.

Something like this would work for you.

https://www.brownells.com/shooting-a...-prod1537.aspx

There are many options similar to this. It just clips on to the barrel or magazine tube. Simple, but effective.

Lasers and lamps (flashlights?) are forbidden to be added to firearms? That is just silly.

Why is your helmet light white/blue? White/red is the typical setup for day/night.
