Also, my friend got the candles from the fundraiser effort this past Saturday, she loves them. Thank you.

Any word on when you'll find out how much the school raised?

Right, back to topic.

Coffee with chick 1 soon. Did some snooping. She seems to already be occupied...will report accordingly.

New situation, ex broke up with her bf. Came to me for consolation. Seems to have taken it hard. May have to "reconsolidate her mortgage" to get her back into the swing of things.

Yeah I wouldn't know the answer to either. Never smoked cigs a day in my life.

That makes sense. Menthols sell really well around 8 Mile. Not so popular in the burbs. You get a pass, because you are OG menthol smoker. It's different. I quit many many years ago, but started on Marlboro reds, graduated to Camel filterless. Brutal, really. Settled back on Marlboro reds before I decided that I enjoyed unassisted breathing and preferred to keep it that way.

Good on you, it's a terrible habit, but tastes so wonderful when drunk.

Oh I've smoked everything under the sun. Marlboro reds, lights, menthols, Kools, Salems, Camel blends, etc. Newports have always been favorite though. I really do need to quit again, it picked back up after some things unfolded and was a quick stress reliever.

I don't like it. Started young, like 14/15 I think to be cool. Then as I got older it was the norm amongst us. Then I realized it allowed me to step out of work for 10/20/30 mins a day at work to get a break. Now that my work schedule is whatever I make it and need to walk 15 minutes just to have a smoke, I don't care to as much.

Don't like it, just do it. Dumb reason but I digress.

Yup. That. It is more habitual and psychological. It definitely activates neural centers that keep you coming back for more. And it does become a ritual. It becomes "what you do". And replacement behavior is a big part of quitting. Those are the two big ones. It is not really a "yeah, I love to smell like that and love having trouble breathing and standing out in the freezing cold". It is more "I like not having withdrawal and I like my routine." It is not an easy thing to quit. If we were all rational, no one would be overweight, we'd all eat properly, no one would drink to excess, etc.

That's where my problem is, it's so inconsistent. One day I may smoke like 8, then might not for a couple days, then maybe a few a day..., It's pointless, yet I keep doing it for some reason.
