This is going to be an amazing car , but if its only offered in an auto-variant then i'm not interested, no matter how fast it might be.
I use to like how the front bumper on the concept car had the openings underneath the headlights, it made it look more aggressive. Oh well...

looks like then decided to go with the fm platform again, well judging by the amount of room.

nah nah I wasnt comparing them. Someone just said he seen the IS-F in person and I was saying that I have some hope for it still (not the quads though!) You're right about comparing different classes, I hate when people do it lol...

I dont think it's awful. But I'm not 100%. I'll make a slightly bigger judgement when we get real-life shots from Tokyo, and more of a judgement in real-life

The front looks like they couldn't decide whether they wanted it edgy or rounded...

The interior is a bit of a disappointment. The center console looks great, but what's with the gauges? They look poorly designed. I suppose low-quality interiors are a tradition at Nissan.
Question: How much could this car change from now until production? |

Did the article mention anything about the transmission? Is it a dual-clutch setup like everyone has been speculating, or an SMG-type arrangement?

I like the overall design, but the rear is a bit rice, what with the quad cannons sticking out the back. I like how it's symmetrical with the taillights. The wheels are nice, but not as good as the concept's. The wierd ripples in the front fender/bumper section look out of place. The C pillar kink looks odd. The headlights are good looking. Don't like the steering wheel. Like the driver-centric IP.
All in all, I'd take it over a ZO6, but I'd probably save up for a 997TT if I had the money. You can't go wrong with that performance.

Change of mind, I'd take the lesser-performing Audi R8 over the ZO6, GTR, and 997TT anyday.

From what I have read online ... the base version is going to be app. $57k and it will be the only one offered in a 6MT with app. 480 bhp.
The premium version will be $68K and will have the 7 speed sequential auto gearbox. The EVO version will be app. $90K and will have app. 550bhp. I think this will also be the 7spd sequential. |

I can understand where he's coming from. The R8 is the uber beautiful, best appointed of the bunch. Not to mention how often mid engine 400+ hp cars come around these days for under $120k Personally, I think i'd still take a GT3, but the power numbers are amazing. I'd take the GTR over nearly any other car out there (F430/F599/GT3 being the exceptions) But it should be very, very, very interesting when it gets compared to the M3. I have a feeling there will be a lot of upset fanboys in the US who dont understand what this car is and how it instantaneously became the new favorite.

i do think the R8 looks good from some angles, but some things like the LED headlights are awful imho. I, too, would take the GT-R over nearly every other car out there because of the sheer fun it'll bring! and think of the modding market after it's been out for 1-2 years. I'm willing to bet that i won't regret buying a GT-R if i had the money unless i had a baby boom or something |
