The SGS3 I had and the Note2 I have were in need of cases because IMO these super thin phones with slick surfaces are just not designed with usability in mind. Getting a case that adds thickness and provides a grippier surface was a no brainer for me. One handed use is much easier with these phones if they have cases (for me anyway).
I always got cases for protection of the phone previously, but this last couple times around, there have been additional practical benefits. I don't know if it's because of the combination of thinness and larger display size or what. |

Dropped my iP5 twice on concrete. Hit the edge both times. Pretty sure the screen would have cracked both times if it weren't for the bumper.
