I had a herniated disk that ruptured and made contact with my sciatiac nerve. Tried everything everyone has already talked about. It came down to surgery or a bullet. I chose going under the knife. When I woke up I thought I was dead because all the pain was gone. I was walking down the hallway that afternoon and was home by the end of the day. I still feel blessed 10 years later because I'm a carpenter/contractor and my job is very physical. Do lots of research and exhaust all options before surgery because not everyone comes out as cured as I was.

For a herniated disc? I disagree with that number, unless you provide source...

With how advanced our technology is (esp sports tech), wouldn't be supposed if the success rate is 90-95%...

Ive heard the same from a couple DRs. Some tell you its a crap shoot, some are more optimistic. Ive also heard that once you have one, youre gonna have another one eventually.

Back Surgery IMO is a last resort. I know way too many guys that got surgery and either had no success or were back under the knife within 5 years. Ive been putting off back surgery for awhile now because of that.

And this is coming from someone whos 1st solution to every other issue is "Can I get surgery?"
