My first car was a 1986 Audi 5000s. It was 7 years old when I got it. Such a fun car. many good times. It thought it was a steal at $3,500, but I became good friends with my mechanic because of that car. HA!

My first car was 1986 Chrysler New Yorker.
It had digital dash that did not work. I didn't know how fast I was going plus I had no idea how much gas I had in the car, I use to fill up every third day, a few time a ran out of gas, the radiator didn't work, the transmission use to stay stuck in neutral so sometimes on a green light the car would not proceed forward. But the car never rusted. My second car was 1993 Honda Prelude SR-V (what a beauty) Third car was a 2002 Acura RSX. Nice car but its no Prelude. What I really liked about the RSX was the manual gear box (short and precise). And now I own a 2006 E90 much better than any of the cars I've owned its sporty comfortable and nice looking, except for the customer service which is not that great compare to Acura. When I turned 17 in 2003 I didn't have much $ and being automobile obsessive (seriously) I figured I would get whatever car had the most power for the dollar. Ended up with a very clean `94 Camaro Z28. Realized american cars truly suck so a bit less than in a year I sold it. So back then having a best friend in high school whose dad is a private BMW mechanic and my friend was a BMW nut, I figured why not buy a `91 318is (e30) and swap in an S50 (`95 M3 motor). I learned a lot and spent a lot on that project. Sold it after a year. Got hooked to BMW's from there, had always liked them beforehand but never throught I could afford them or really knew how to work on them.
Then bought a `95 318ti in Feb `05 for a cheap daily driver after dealing with that huge project car. Sold that last Aug. and bought a `93 325is. Just gave the 325is to my older brother a few weeks ago and picked up a very clean `97 318ti sport. I hope to put in a nice suspension this summer and then maybe do another engine swap next year (yikes!) The 325iT is the family car btw. So far 5 cars and I'm 20...need to catch up with my best friend whose at like over 10 easily haha. Maybe get an E91 for the family sometime down the line (they are offering RWD for `07 )

I learned they are not very popular in NA, and the E46 compact never made its way to NA. I had a E36 316ti and my current car is an E46 325ti compact with SMG which I really enjoy to drive. But I'm really looking forward to my future E91. |
