i see your point, but it doesn't work here. there was literally no one on the road around me...both directions. he was on my side of traffic about an 1/8th mile behind me, made a point to speed up and catch up, and then had nothing on me when he had me. i was literally getting out of the car before he had his lights on. the more and more i think about it, he was probably trolling for drunks, but i don't believe he had probable cause other than the time of the year and the cowboys getting annihilated leading people to drink their misery away. it was just a bizarre situation and he should have just said "oops, my mistake, sorry to inconvenience you" instead of trying to pull the guilt trip on me. i don't hate cops, but i've been to jail for some outstanding tickets before and don't ever desire to go back. traffic stops scare the shit out of me!

edit: i wasn't driving erratically either. because i had to turn into the restaurant so quickly, i turned into the right lane. he may have thought that i cornered at a higher than hyundai speed, but that's the only reason i can possibly come up with for him to think i'm speeding. there's no law about how fast or slow you should corner though. m3 is like sticky tape on the road

man that sucks ... i guess he just wanted to see if u were doing anything illegal... maybe if you admitted that u were speeding, he would go back in his car and write u a ticket even though he didnt use any device to clock ur speed.
