I am with you. The hype leading up to it, and the way the commentators treated it as it was going, boosted my expectations. In no way was it worth $300 million as it appeared on my 55" HD TV.

What did the French spend when they had their last games? Their show was much more interesting even if odd.

Team USA beating Japan in ladies beach volleyball was good. The new world record by USA in 400m IM swim was good. Gymnastics qualifying was boring.

No. Got bored with the rings and pommel horse thing. The high bar or whatever it is called is pretty good to watch, but didn't make up for the rest. The commentators seem to care about sticking the landing more than the rest of the entire effort. Seems like a waste. Or indicative of how boring was the event. They just like to see how it ends.

yeah except the olympics isn't just about swimming and olympics

lol...I admit some of it is very boring...but man....archery...damn that stuff requires REAL skill....just like those plate shooting competition (forgot what it's called)

It's the entire experience...gotta watch atleast one event
