Some people I knew that i thought were cool when I was younger are weird now. Credit card debt and but lookin fly. Heard from a friend they are in debt but they got new cars and LV Gucci everything. As I approach my early twenties im realizing that this isn't right and I remember working at Bmw. Talking with the sales dude. He said the Loaner cars became leased cars then CPO cars and they make hella bank with them. I remember when I was going to the GYM before covid in my home city, dudes i was class mates with saying they are leasing a 5 and 7 series. Is that Wise? LOLOLOL isnt buying a used E90 better.? Why do I think getting a integra or E90 is better than leasing a new luxury car for a young man.

There are two kinds of leasing:

1. Those who lease because they would rather "rent" a car and pay every month for it instead of all the maintenance/things that could go wrong with it

2. Those who want to look like they own a car they can't afford

It's usually pretty obvious which category someone falls into.

I got married December 7, 1986, 34 years ago today. I took those vows seriously. Lasted 20 years. I should have bailed long before I did. Nice Italian Catholic school girl hung in there way too long. He passed away about 5 years ago.

After 20 years and hanging in there longer than you should, I'd say you kept your part of the deal.

Congrats! First time home ownership is exciting. Enjoy. Let the fun begin.

I'm hanging in there. The work in the house is almost finished, just a few odds and ends. It finally feels like my house.

I may or may not have watched the entire Mariah Carey Magical Christmas Special last night on Apple plus.

Judging by the mild hangover I woke up with this morning I'm slightly suspicious a couple of late night Macallans might have had something to do with it.

My first marriage only lasted a year and a half. On our wedding day I stood on the altar and promised to be with her forever. And that first year felt like forever.

I will post in the home decor thread. I've just been completely overwhelmed lately as you may have noticed from my lack of activity here. I need this year to end.

When I was little, New Year's Eve was always at my great grandmother's house. My father's uncles would "write" the outgoing year in saw dust in the street and light it on fire at midnight. I'm thinking that would be very appropriate for this year.

That's sort of neat actually...and does seem appropriate for 2020.

Hang in there, 2021 is less than a month away and we'll see what we are playing with then.

No you don't. Because if you were, you'd wish you didn't live there anymore. I hate the winter.

absolutely!!! it felt great when the keys were handed over and first time pulling into the driveway.

cmyx6go
the fun has started, few minor things i need to take care before we move in.
With the high volume of home purchases in LI, there is a waiting period of 2 weeks to get any kind of work. Everyone is booked.

im with you, i cant wait til this year ends.

moving is very stressful, hopefully soon your new home will feel like home.
