Historically, 3 days in VPC, the 3 days truck to NC. Now, hopefully no holds on delivery.

Delivery maybe right before or after Thanksgiving????

Our car is definitely on the Polaris Highway that left Zeebrugge on Nov 1st. In my case it will unload in Brunswick, GA on Nov 16th. How long from there to the Performance Center and how long they want it before we can pick it up are unknowns to me. I’m hoping Thanksgiving week is possible.

Been keeping an eye on this forum as ordered a 520i MSport here in the UK. Downgrading from a G30 530D SE given the high prices of the G60. I probably have to change my profile name now lol
Anyway placed order on 25th September, car built on 28th October and now on a vessel from Cuxhaven to Southampton. Should be arriving tomorrow 6th November early morning. Yes I’ve been checking with BMW Genius nearly on a daily basis.
My question is how long will it take to get to dealership for delivery as I’m in South Wales? Been informed first week of December but given it’s in the country from 6th November . Any chance this could be brought forward? Can’t wait obviously.

My i5 took a few days to get from the port to dealer in MK. I think about a week from departing Bremerhaven to being at the dealer. It was a WK 36 build and was always forecast to deliver in WK 39 but then it just dropped to WK 38 and it was in the dealer on the Wednesday of that week.

I am also based in South Wales though, but my Sal Sac didn't use Sytner frustratingly.

My car has been at the dealer since September 18th affected by recalls with no end in sight.

No I’ve gone for Saloon like my previous 5.
Sorry to hear yours is affected by recalls. I’m hoping mine won’t be affected as I was informed when ordering that it wouldn’t be.
At the time it was WK43 build and WK48 delivery but now then moved to WK49 delivery. Maybe if it’s here earlier maybe be brought forward to WK48? Can only hope.

What are your opinion on the below information I received from the dealer today? Note the extending protection plan prices are for the Platinum plan.

I was thinking getting only extended warranty 72/100K. I don't believe upgrading to Care+ is worth it, since it would only cover pad and rotors IF I need them in the first three years and can wait to make a decision on Care+ after 3 years a little later. Note : This isn't my daily driver. plus I worked with a local independent BMW only shop in town with my previous BMW's.

Any who opinions welcomed.

Skip it all. If for some reason you decide later on you need the Vehicle Service Contract you can buy it at any time prior to the new vehicle warranty expiring and from any dealer. We have some that are recommended since they offer good pricing.

Edit: Also keep in mind that brochure is a few years old and out of date. BMWFS switched to offering a vehicle service contract with only two levels of coverage. Here are the T&C: https://addedprotection.widen.net/s/.../bmwvsc-d2c_tc

Thanks I think I got you, however not quite understanding last sentence you have. Are this prices on the extended warranty no good pricing?
