I personally think Kendrick is a flawless MC and has the perfect balance of lyrics/flow/charisma and yet he doesn't come off as a cocky arrogant stereotypical rapper.

If you hear his one track - The heart pt 3. He talks about critics claiming that hes the best rapper out right now and that Good Kid Maad City was an instant classic. Instead of this getting to his head he talks about how theres a lot of pressure on him and hes actually scared to shoulder that load. Even when snoop dogg came out at one of his shows and claimed that he was the new king of the west coast, Kendrick broke down into tears and that moment is what made me really truly respect him.

With all that being said, he goes HARD in this verse. There is no questioning that hip hop has become way more commercial in the past few years where rappers are just in the game to make money and get famous. Also when they do get the fame, changing who they are and their style. Kendrick did the hip hop game a service by calling out all the "hot" young artists in rap. He didn't do it to elevate himself or to claim hes number 1. He did it to save the genre and bring it back to its old school roots. Kendrick is the present and future of hip hop and he showcased it brilliantly in this verse.

*I am a die hard Kendrick Lamar fan so this is purely my opinion.

I agree with you 100% on both posts. I'm a die hard as well.

well, he did go on a 3 or 4 year hiatus where no one knew where he was.

he was probably busy wiping his ass with some of the finest diamonds known to man while sleeping in a bed made from shredded 100 bills.....

you could call it a "come back" ??

Eminem is truly one of the most prolific rappers of all time, no doubt...

If you go back and listen to the Bad meets Evil mixtape with Royce da 5'9 that came out a couple years ago, Em goes hard. His flow/lyrics remind me of his good old days of just spitting

I don't know what it is about Eminem. There are some tracks I love and there are some that I just don't like at all.

One of my favorite albums to this day is Get Rich or Die Tryin'. Anything after that is just garbage. The money and fame got to 50's head.

Kendrick responses:

B.o.B - How 2 Rap
http://rockdizfile.com/lypdodrh6wo6

Lupe Fiasco - SLR 2
http://rockdizfile.com/itsabfe92rfi

Los - Control
http://rockdizfile.com/yjbcmhq1vk4g

Joell Ortiz - Outta Control
http://rockdizfile.com/37c0ohyaja90

Fred The Godson - Say My Name
http://rockdizfile.com/szkt5f81rz9z

Los's response wasn't bad. I like Joell Ortiz's flow but there's a reason why he didn't blow up like Kendrick. The rest are garbage.

To me the best modern hip hop groups are Cunninlynguists, Kno (who is in CL), Atmosphere, People under the Stairs... stuff in that vein.

Dope. I fux with all of TDE heavy. Had a session with one of their in-house producers (skye hutch). I'm hoping this leads to some work with them.

Props to you for knowing about overly dedicated

give Eminem a mic and a beat.

give Kendrick Lamar a mic and a beat.

let them go at each other like savages.

i will guarantee you that Eminem will be the last one standing after 45 minutes.....

and even after KL taps out, Em will STILL be going off on an open mic for the next 3 or 4 hours.....

NO ONE can do what Em does with an open mic - NO ONE.

Tuesday Oct. 15th the BET cypher is coming out with KL and the whole Black Hippy crew. Word is KL went HAMMMMMMMM! There's a 15 second clip of it going around right now

I resepct Em no doubt and I'm really hoping MML2 is going to be leaps and bounds better than his single out right now cuz that makes me want to drive full speed into a wall.

Oh LITOS, test driving a 13' Challenger SRT-8 392 tonight. Billet silver w/auto stick. If I love it, I'm taking it!

Eminem might be the only person who is capable of doing this. Picking between the two is like 1-A and 1-B. You cant be wrong. Also I cannot wait to hear the TDE Cypher soon. Black Hippy is my favorite group out right now...except schoolboy. He can really piss me off sometimes.(black lip bastard remix)
