My wife had about 25 cars collected at the time we met. Every year I get her one for Christmas.

Nice.
I have quite a few UT BMW's, a few E36's including a rare Dakar M3, Estoril M3 vert etc. Here is a walk around of the in-box section, I have the other side dedicated to out of the box cars.

You kidding, i locked that up that very day. She didn't know it at the time, but it was locked up.
And they're not just in boxes, they are displayed around the house.

Used to be my reef aquarium but I had to sell it off when we moved. Now it seems to be home repair and upgrades...

I race RC cars, placed 5th at the nationals last year. I also fly model gliders, dynamic soaring, where we hold the world speed record for ALL model aircraft, with unpowered model sailplanes. The WR today is 499mph!
Both these are more obsessions than hobbies though. Here's a couple vids. These are slower vids, because the fastest vids you can't really see anything. Crank up the sound! These gliders make crazy sounds as they rip the air. |

Saltwater is a huge money pit, but cheaper then RC at this point... kind of surprising. I use to spend $250 to prep for one race back in high school and college.

Taking classes to be a pilot. My Father in-law has 2 planes and he needs someone to take over them when he passes. So he is helping me learn. Makes it nice that he is a certified flight instructor as well. He had nothing else to do since he is retired. So I am gonna say my new passion and hobby is flying.

what type of pit do you prefer? I used to be strictly a vertical water smoker guy, but I have a couple of pellet smoker/grills now, so much easier and for most meats (as long as you adjust your style a little) the results are just as good. Last edited by MisterSkiMask; 04-17-2013 at 11:00 AM.. |
