How are we incarcerating honest Americans if they are breaking the laws and smoking it and possessing it?

Hemp paper being more durable is not a good thing... this means it will last longer in our landfills and side of the roads where ever it may fall...Thus making it less environmentally friendly. Isn't that totally against your for the planet lazy pot smoking self?

Many pot smokers are ordinary law abiding citizens, other than that fact that they smoke pot. If that is enough to make someone a criminal in your mind, there is obviously something wrong with you.

You might have a point about hemp paper staying in our landfills longer. However having all that hemp paper laying around, is probably still better than cutting down all of our trees.

It takes trees like 30 years to grow and we could cut the down in seconds. If we are cutting them down faster than they could grow eventually it will be a problem. Maybe it hasn't happened yet.


There is a book called The Emperor Wears no Clothes by Jack Herer. It basically explains how hemp could one day save the world, and we are doomed without it.

Edit- when I was talking about people being incarcerated, I meant for growing cannabis. Because of the way our government works people can go to prison for 10-40 years minimum just for growing a seed provided by god.

So in reading the OP's posts here, I've concluded some of the side effects of weed may include:

• Babbling on and on without making much sense or coming to a point
• Quoting dead scientists, politicians and children's books in support of said non-existent points
• Loss of reality in the expectation of the federal government making weed legal

Sorry if what I said is too complicated for you to understand. I could try to dumb it down for you, but unfortunately I don't think it will help.

You can look up House Resolution 499, if passed it would remove cannabis from the controlled substances act. Not saying its going to happen right now, but at least it's being considered.

Alcohol is dangerous and is overall harmful to society.

The drugs your doctor gives you are just as dangerous, and often ineffective. For those that don't know heroin was invented by Bayer as a cure for many ailments. It doesn't actually cure anything, but it masks the symptoms, and that is enough for them to make a profit.

How others chose to live their life is their choice though.

Yes, at the turn of the century there were no regualtions, so any company could put coke, heroin, opiates in their products and market them as cure-alls and thousands did.

But, what does that have to do with legalizing weed on a federal level?

How many overdoses have prescription painkillers caused? How many people are addicted to heroin because of prescription drugs? Pharmaceutical companies aren't out there to help us. Unfortunately everything is about profit these days.

Legalizing weed will kill thousands of jobs.

Honestly though I dont care if it gets legalized or not. It would be nice if it did so pot heads would stop bitching about it. Its pretty harmless, but if it went to vote it would be one more thing the people would have to vote on to make sure other people aren't happy.

Most addictions don't start with abuse. I've seen many stories where people become hooked on prescription drugs by using them "responsibly".

I know marijuana has side effects I use it often enough to know how it effects me.

When I smoke I actually have an appetite and I could sleep comfortably at night. When I smoke in the morning I have more energy and I have a more positive attitude. I also experience an overwhelming feeling of happiness.

I can function perfectly fine without weed and be perfectly happy. Overall my quality of life is better with weed, and that is enough for me. I know you will probably try to use this against me, but I really don't care.
